Depending on your texture pack, 6GB allocated is too much. I suggest backing up your world(s), then deleting the .techniclauncher\yogbox folder. Then set the launcher to 2GB to start, manual select the appropriate (1.2.5 whatever) build, and go grab OptiFine Standard and drop its contents into modpack.jar in the yogbox\bin folder. If it keeps giving you fits after that, post a launcher log please.
-
In this case, you probably want to get a new copy of the launcher as well. There have been a few mini-patches dealing with the new Minecraft versions (1.3+), and that looks like what you're running into.
-
Please see this thread in the Server Op Swap Shop. It has a few other useful things in it too.
-
Did you have to quote the entire post for that?
-
Yeah, I was being a bit facetious. On topic: Alchemical Chests can dupe their contents if placed, filled, then broken by someone else. There's a micro-patch floating around for them that empties the contents onto the ground before they're broken.

EE is a dupe glitch.

Tekkit needs Balancing! SUGGESTIONS HERE
Torezu replied to Xelight's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You mean the link in here that goes to a bukkit port? That Gravitron addon? -
Make a fully self-sufficient biodome (spherical or semi-spherical, covered with glass, of course) with every type of plant, animal, and a mini-biome of each kind. You'll have to find a border between a desert, snow biome of some kind, and biome with normal rain if you want the right precipitation combo. It'll be large. Then, after you finish this massive project, save the world files, and chain-nuke it.

The file is in the server root folder, it's called mod_EE.props, and there should be a furnaces line in it that says something like "allow_furnaces" that you can set to 0.
-
You have a log file in your .techniclauncher\logs folder. Post it. That's the single most useful troubleshooting tool we have.
-
Just turn furnaces off in the EE config file, closer to the bottom. The DM furnace only has a chance of double output on ores, anyway, so people don't like using it when the IC2 stuff guarantees double output (but uses power).

EU Being used at an alarming rate
Torezu replied to pizzadahutt's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Just stick an LV trans between the MFE and your machines. That should solve all your problems, completely, unless you're trying to run so many machines the MFE can't output fast enough. -
Thread cleaned. Do not argue with server admins on the server thread. The moderators here do not have control over how servers are administrated, and we don't feel like dealing with drama on the forums. If you want a server admin to treat you with respect, make the dispute/request private, and be polite. If you can't at least do that, I wouldn't expect much. If you don't get the result you want, go play on a different server.

Because it effectively is? I would say it's better in some ways than creative and worse in others.

"... 7 more" Error and Server crash when launched
Torezu replied to minecraftbuilder123's question in Tekkit Classic
There are actually 3 potential solutions. 1) Install and use Java 7 correctly for the server. For some reason, this works on some servers and doesn't work on others. I suspect it's operating-system related. 2) Go find a new copy of the NetherOres .jar and install it over the old one. See 1). 3) Delete the NetherOres .jar and accept that your server won't have them. This always works. -
It was always supposed to, but an SMP bug made it not require fuel on older versions of EE.
-
Poke around for really old versions of the launcher you may have left in a download folder or something. If the rec. build is 2.1.0, that's what you're running, not the newest launcher.
-
Your inventory is corrupted, probably from attempting to add a mob spawner to it. Delete your player.dat file from the server. You'll have to get your items back from NEI, unfortunately.
-
Here's my idea. Click the Submit a Bug Report button and fill the form out. Your question means nothing as is.
-
Double-check that wipe and install then, and do it with a new copy of the launcher. Done properly, that's exactly what you need to do: completely remove your tekkit folder and install 3.1.1 manually. If it gives you the same message, you didn't do it right.
-
That server has 3.1.1, if it's giving you that message. You need to completely wipe your .techniclauncher\tekkit folder and reinstall, manually selecting Tekkit 3.1.1. Save your waypoints if you have any, and any SSP worlds you want to keep. It's either that, encourage the server owner to update to 3.1.2, or find a different server.

Please to be updatink Java.

Nothing does that short of sneaky tiny slimes (they can glitch through walls sometimes), or miniature invisible scorpions that pop out after you kill a normal one (I hate those things). Otherwise, yes, you may have something wrong with your keyboard.

I believe they only work in alpine forests, not regular ones*, in addition to tundra, where they certainly work. Of interest, they die when it's raining. *Not tested.
