I believe I may have found a way to stop BC overflow
TokiWartooth replied to NightFire661's topic in Tekkit Discussion
loops work but are hella inefficient, as it will send them back even when it is not full, the real "solution" is diamond pipe and a loop or use something better, like AE or Logistics pipes, because buildcraft was never meant to be a late game system. -
Drop your conductive pipe for conduit, conductive pipe can be real buggy.

I think that may be a bug with battletower golems, I myself seem to be having an issue with them however mine is that every time shortly after it spawns hexxit closes, no crash report nothing just closes. new bug in 1.0.1 i think will report when i confirm it. Ehhh it's not every time but I think it may need investigating cant figure out what causes the close but it happens sometimes when I aggro a battletower golem twice from the chest and once from just walking onto the roof.

builders are broken mffs will be out in 1.1.5 which is why i mentioned that tip for that version.

well my way also always gives you a level platform to set the landmarks on, I've used it to quarry in the middle of an ocean in one case and up on the highest nether quartz tendril in another, and I was always unsure if the blue lines went further than 64 because I thought I had tried that at one point and the go too far maybe Im wrong here but the MFFS system works in other edge cases which I like, I don't use it every time but for the weird stuff it is handy.

no it will not keep up but it will slowly trickle resources into your system. there's no reasonable way to rely only on the drill to produce ore for you without extreme power gen which we won't likely see until big reactors comes out, atomic science is neat and produces plenty but this laser drill was intended to be used by gregtech type people with more power than they know what to do with.

Ideally long term your quarry kit should be: quarry, an energy tesseract, two item tesseracts a single piece of buildcraft pipe(any transport variety cobble being cheapest), and 3 landmarks, with this you can set up a quarry anywhere in any dimension that will ship things back to the receiver. A special tip for anyone using 1.1.5 and tired of counting out the 64x64 area by hand can take and set up a frame out of any brick you like and then capture it with a custom mode card from MFFS, then with the custom mode card and a field stabilization card you can build that frame anywhere NOTE: this will not destroy blocks to place blocks but will build around existing blocks.

you have to consider input output limits of the cells and tesseracts, I've never seen a case of a tesseract pulling power that was unneeded, my generators turn off all the time waiting to drain to make more. my set up for my bases power is one redstone energy cell for each generator all hooked in parallel to a single tesseract. This could probobly be accomplished equally well with 3 redstone energy cells but I like redundancy built in. know at peak a tesseract pulls about 130 mj/t because it takes it's 25% before transmission so that it still transmits 100mj/t when it arrives so have at least 2 recs hooked up if you plan on high usage. I then run 6 more generators attached to 6 more cells to power utilities, mainly it runs my 2 quarries, but I also use it for my filler and a third quarry for small short projects. I then run 3 generators to run the power plants utilities themselves, my oil refinery stuff from atmoic science again 3 more generators to run my farm equipment, 2 25x25 planter/harvesters, a rancher, a breeder, 2 chronotypers a grinder and a slaughterhouse. and finally 4 generators running all the time for my laser drill, now considering none of this is ever running constantly, I have 2 biofuel reactors feeding all of this, at peak consumption I use more fuel that I consume, but in practical application, I have never had any issues with power.

Brilliant Minds Needd - AE Autocrafting with Liquids
TokiWartooth replied to AquatikJustice's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Was thinking about this, and I suppose if you are tight on supplies that might be an issue, but at least in my system the dedicated machines see enough use that waiting for the crucible to process would be a waste of time so that is the tradeoff here, and it is by no means wasted, I go through a ton of conduit and cells and tessaracts so what is waste, is kinda minor considering the almost 2 million cobble, 600k dirt(started collecting it much later), and 200k wood I have already, keeping a stack of redstone block or enderpearls in my crucible seems kinda cheap. I do however respect the attempt to make it on demand, may have a use for that in the future, though I find more interesting that Item tesseracts are valid inventories for ME-Interfaces kinda revolutionary, I mean with that your ME network doesn't even have to be in the same physical location as your factory and everything could just be piped around to various places from a central processing center. However I do wish to inquire with KL as to how exactly the Tesseracts item inventory works if the output is not valid at the time of transmission, does it hold and wait? and can it hold multiple item types or just a single stack of what is sent? but that probably won't even be an issue in the foreseeable future. -
I have to ask, you ever professionally test software? but I think this a known bug not sure though, I have heard about it, and most servers will have protections for it I think, but good to know about it.

yeah nand gate is what you needed, for that then, I guess I see what you are going for that makes sense.
-
im confused, if you want something to be always on why would you do it this way? and A square wave is not what you think it is me thinks, what you have it on would be 10 ticks on 10 ticks off, and when it is off you have false false which returns true on a nor gate, you should be seeing .5 seconds on .5 seconds off with your setup there. If you explain better your purpose I could probably be more help with this stuff.

you can also use Cyclic assemblers from TE, the thing with auto crafting tables is you have to not only have an extra minium stone for each table for the recipie, but then keep a surplus of them in the attached storage.

I Install MCPC+ And get this error.. please help!
TokiWartooth replied to Mattyboi6789's topic in Hexxit Discussion
uninstall MCPC+ there are issues withit and hexxit atm . don't use it. -
that works but is inefficient for actually making diamonds, you may just want to stop at clay with that procedure, and better way to do it is pulverize the cobble for sand getting sand and 25% of the time gravel gravel into clay sand into sandstone and sandstone into clay as well. skips 2 4:1 steps and costs fewer minium stones.
-
Turn it into stone/sand, use ee3 to upgrade it, build the worlds largest toilet, These things and more are all possible in the modern age thanks to things like reading.

to answer your question there's 3 flavors of tekkit, all of them run different versions of minecraft, without knowing what you want to do,that's all the help I can provide.
-
omg.......this just made the most amazing thing ever possible......this has soo much potential.
-
personally I do the same thing by making the basic processor assembly and cooking it in the furnace, its more expensive that way in the extreme long run but the assembly table has always been weird for me.
-
Ill state it here for convienence you cannot pipe things into the fuel slot of a vanilla furnace idk why.
-
rednet covers bundled cable, and theres nothing for pneumatic tubes but you really don't need them, there are better replacements.
-
This is the cancer that is killing tekkit. There is a point when your hipster irony falls flat and you become guilty of simply making what you are lampooning something cool again which would be a travesty, we are quickly nearing that point.

Not enough information here, how is your mac set up, what are your trying to craft, does it blend these questions and more are relevant to your case and should be answer to receive one. King Etzel : pretty sure it is supposed to be that rare, being you know a rare earth element and all that shit, I've never found more than 1 or 2 a chunk either. was the same with uranium in IC2.
-
Tassyr it would be useful if you uploaded your forge log somewhere and post it here when you get errors like that because no, that's not happening to many others.
-
I am fine with this, all of it.
