  3. I was under the impression that phased pipes don't work in 1.0.6 try tessaracts the do the same thing but look better and work.

Noticed some odd rednet behaviour, had a working inverter hooked up to a lever and some rednet to close a shower door and open a water valve in the ceiling, now if I switch the lever on which lights up the vanilla redstone above it, when I switch it off the redstone stays lit trapping me in my shower.

  6. I'll be honest I couldn't give two shits about the loss, I'm just surprised at the transfer rate max. I may change that setting, I was operating for a while a 2base setup pulling power from 6rec's and 6 biofuel reactors to power both bases, and at peak operation they could pull about 140 or so a tick, now peak operation was rare but it could happen. I guess with the new mining laser having such a high power requirement this is the first I've run into this as an issue. I guess it's not really a cost issue to just make more racts but esthetically my powerplant is gonna look way worse.
  7. So in order to simultaneously drain 4 rec's through tesseracts I would have to use 4 senders and 4 receivers? See the odd thing about that is I hooked up a second input pipe(on the same parallel circuit of recs) into the tesseract and the second one started draining as well, It may be that it can send 100mj/t but it needs ~135mj a tick because it loses the 25% before it is actually sent. does that make sense? still that's kinda frustrating, I was operating under the illusion that the tesseracts could send any amount of energy a tick thus setting up all my recs into parallel setups. I may have to rethink my whole power schema then.

Ok, I thought I had TE circutry figured out, but after playing with atomic science I am more confused than ever, so a series of questions 1) does redstone conduit have a max capacity of MJ/t transfer? if yes what is it? 2) does an energy tesseract have a transfer capacity MJ/t? If yes again what is it? 3) why do redstone energy cells drain one at a time when wired in parallel into a tesseract if it has no capacity limit and the stuff on the other side can handle faster energy transfers? 4) regarding AS/UE values whats the conversion rate of MJ-KW? - reason I ask is I would like to know how much energy a fusion reactor will draw to start it's reaction so i can tell if the output is correct in positive power cycles. The one way nature of power conduits may end up getting in the way of setting up any better reactors at the moment idk. May put off building more till we get to a later patch and add mek.
  9. D'aww factories were op, and I like the alternative energy storage-transfer conduits are cool but 2 way wires would be nice. oh well something to look forward too, no other problems since last night.

  12. First note, in order to make circuts you need Unamed 149 which I assume was something from MEK- and you need those to make reactors - making atomik science unusable until fixxed. For posterity going to edit this post with more stuff I find. EDIT 1: Still getting POP from Ddoors when traveling through a DDoor you seem to pop on the other side which can cause issues if the area you come out in is only 2 blocks high (or higher it seems) but it will cause you to pop through ceilings/floors for a second then pop back. EDIT 2: Haz Mat suit uncraftable, this may be my own idiocy but I assume MEK is coming back before final release of the next version just not in this build so my pointing these out may not be as helpful as I first thought? EDIT 3: Seem to have no problem generating positive powercycles on the rest of atomic energy. Going to move to other stuff. single cycle (4x64 deuterium + one full redstone energy cell for ignition) of my quad fusion core seems to produce A LOT of power(4 full cells with some lost by lack of bandwidth i think + what it needed to self-power.). would recommend those that wish to experiment with this use no fewer than 4 redstone cells per reactor in PARALLEL not series, because the reactor puts out more than 100m/j a tick you may lose it if it is not take in somewhere not sure.

OK This should inform My power setups then Suppose I should update to latest build before I play with my fusion reactors anymore, ( full discolsure, I may have gone a bit crazy with my preparation for atomik science have room for something on the order of 3x16 reactors). For the record if KL sees this I vote for configureable sides for the REC's /

Simple question I suppose are redstone energy cells self conductive ie; two redstone energy cells directly adjacent to one another will power flow from the first into the second? will it only flow if the first is full? can it pass through the second one into conduit? rebuilding a power station and this stuff is kinda important. Also on the subject has anyone ever had a REC that they couldn't seem to get the power out of? And quickly for those with 1.1.0 and mekanism if I tell my ME network to build a single elite energy cube it seems to not want to stop crafting at 1...ever, I have to stop it at the terminal anyone else have that issue cropping up and have a solution/workaround(I know it's a dev build I don't expect one)
  16. Well my version has mekanism MFFS and atomik energy, all of which except MFFS I have added to my stuff. Mek adds some wierd side processes to stuff that I feel TE does fine, its not clearly labeled sides of machines is dumb(spoiled by TE) and it's refusal to auto empty to an adjacent inventory is interesting. but that said smelting factories are the SHIZNIT. Also so are fusion reactors, they produce so much power, will have to build some crazy MFFS systems to use it all. Just realized, I meant to post here "me too" as I would love to discuss some issues and see what others are doing in these builds without 1) upsetting the people who can't be bothered to notice the devbuild warnings and lose things 2) getting helenkellered by upsetting mods, (may they forever be benevolent to us ungrateful sinners.)
  17. On a related topic anyone know how to make linking books now in 1.1.0? all my mystcraft stuff went poof with the upgrade (my fault for upgrading to a dev build, such is life.)
  18. It will probably be safe to upgrade once they have officially recommended 1.1.0.
  19. 1.1.0 is kinda daunting but it fixes lots of stuff, but when i updated all my mystcraft stuff went poof, books tables pages everything, mystcraft is still there though. It looks as though the linking books aren't as easy to craft oh and the EE3 recipie to make blaze rods is out, so no more infinite wrath powder/blaze rods -(yay/boo). I need to find some new chuncks to start getting osmium, then I can explore mekanism, and see how that works with AE as well as start work on my nuke plant. 1.1.0 has lots of new projects for me.

So for some reason my MAC will not assemble any redstone energy cells, I have all required mats, just made a fresh pattern encode incase that was the problem no luck, I can make them manually, but that kinda defeats the whole point of the MAC in the first place. Anyone else have this happen or have a solution?

  22. yeah magic that won't work with oak because of the trunk merging, may just be better to have the harvester always on on that one. that should work fine.

  24. So this will be the replacement for UU matter basically? It sounds cool, also sounds like I need to make an automated farm to get some pink slime for this stuff. I can definately hack some more power gen into my system, maybe put in another floor of reactors in my plant.
  25. Ehh I'm willing to put in the the legwork to manual craft the watermelon and pumpkin or are you running your farm on the same network as your main network? Because I run them as 2 separate networks and locations.
