  1. If this is a new world, make a new one. (It reads like a better dungeons is trying to make a hidden room, and chose falling sand to look like 1319:4. Hidden Rooms items have been resetting chunks on returning to the overworld.)
  2. My launcher build is 253 (stable). You may need to download the new launcher. You can see what version you have using the gear in the top right.
  3. Error in the mapwriter config file? Move the MapWriter.cfg file elsewhere and see if it gets replaced? <user>/AppData/Roaming/.technic/hexxit/config/MapWriter.cfg
  4. I think that server may be Hexxit 1.0.0. Artifice was added in 1.0.1 and updated in 1.0.4, since there was no warning about Artifice it mustn't be present on the server.
  5. In <user>/AppData/Roaming/.technic/hexxit/config/InfernalMobs.cfg set B:useSimpleEntityClassnames=true. With non-simple classnames there are internal burst crashes. Here's an example.
  6. java.io.EOFException at java.io.DataInputStream.readByte(Unknown Source) at net.minecraft.nbt.NBTBase.func_74739_b(SourceFile:88) at net.minecraft.nbt.NBTTagCompound.func_74735_a(SourceFile:34) at net.minecraft.nbt.NBTBase.func_74739_b(SourceFile:96) at chocolate.mods.BD.builder.BuilderHelper.getRandomNBTMap(BuilderHelper.java:877) at chocolate.mods.BD.builder.configurable.BuilderTemplate.generate(BuilderTemplate.java:31) at chocolate.mods.BD.builder.configurable.BuilderTemplate.generate(BuilderTemplate.java:25) at chocolate.mods.BD.WorldGeneratorNew.generateBigDungeon(WorldGeneratorNew.java:146) ... I'm thinking there was an error downloading the files. I've also heard that Minecraft can misbehave if -xms is too high.
  7. The current Java version is 1.7.0_25.

    hexxit crash

You may be able to fix this by turning the rain off. The rain may be trying to harm the Spectral Enderman, while, I think, Spectral's can't be harmed.
  9. Java 7 update 25 (1.7.0_25) is available. You're using 1.6.0_15. I think you should update from Java 6 to Java 7.
  10. Java 7 update 25 (1.7.0_25) is available. You're using 1.7.0_21.
  11. Turning VSync off helps. I also have light smoothing off.
  12. I:"Meteor Fall Deterrence"=60? I:"Chunk Generation Checks"=4, reducing this to one should cut meteors by about 75% I:"Minimum Meteor Size"=1, it may be safe to reduce this to zero, zero may make a one layer crater I:"Maximum Meteor Size"=3, smaller meteors?, semi-height?, a size 3 meteor may make a 7m deep crater I:"Meteor Ore Gen Size"=6, smaller crater?, crater radius? I:"Shield Radius in Chunks"=4, each time you double this you only need to place about a quarter the meteor shields Put this at 20 plus a buffer then meteor shields on a mile grid will never let a meteor fall, along as everyone stays inside the buffer distance from the first empty grid point.

    Server Stdout 0.01

    Java.com has Java 7 update 25.
  14. Change <user>/AppData/Roaming/.technic/hexxit/config/InfernalMobs.cfg B:useSimpleEntityClassnames=false to true. This stops repeated internal crashes. I have smooth lighting off. Thinking of turning VSync off.
  15. Here's something to try: java.com There at Java 1.7.0_25.
  16. Underground or underwater rifts?
  17. You could try moving the world somewhere else, creating a new world with the same name, and replacing the new world with the old world.
  18. I already set mine to fall during the day. Oops.
  19. Is it the right size? (Java 7 update 25 is available.) AOOA OAAO OAAO OAAO AOOA A: Air, O: Obsidian [Edit: The tool normally used to light it is flint & steel. Requires 1 flint & 1 iron.] [Edit: Are you in Adventure Mode? The Minecraft wiki says Flint & Steel won't ignite a Nether portal in Adventure Mode.]
  20. <user>/AppData/Roaming/.technic/hexxit/config/Meteors.cfg B:"Meteors Only Fall at Night"=false Set that to true.
  21. I added the cheapest Smeltery to: http://wiki.technicpack.net/Smeltery_Multi-Block_Structure 58 sand, 57 gravel and 57 clay, 1 bucket for lava 3 Aluminum, 1 Copper and copies, (stone works,) of the tool parts you want to make. Make only blank templates for ingot casts; punch those out in the Stencil Table. Every other cast is made by placing a copy of the tool part, (stone works,) on a Casting Table and pouring Aluminum Brass (or Gold) over it.
  22. I've heard blocks from Secret Rooms are making chunks regenerate. Several players secret treasure rooms have been replaced. GenericB's experience of this is on Youtube.
  23. http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/hexxit-bug-board.94/ The bug report form is available at the top of the board: Submit a Bug Report
  24. Diamond is only an upgrade material. The metal parts are now cast using the Smeltery.
  25. Those mods aren't there. Those are just the interface config files, to make them work if a working version of them were added. Redpower and IndustrialCraft haven't been updated.
