  1. Make the name of the world folder and the level-name= in the server.properties match. The level-name= is normally "world".
  2. Has anyone tried the TC longsword or a bow? They both have a right click charge. You can go for the egg collecting enchantment instead so you can collect the souls later in a controlled environment with a glaive or scythe. Can you get blood and a soul from the same mob? (Blood and soul stealer on the same weapon.)
  3. Servers can have weird settings like that. With the mystic shrubs (Zelda grass) and mobs providing hearts they may have blocked food for healing.
  4. I've heard if you have a magnetizaton effect with no source you can equip then de-equip a magnetization item to remove the effect.
  5. Storage crates for crate loads of one item. You can use a Wooden Label to mark them. Armor Stands, Sword "stands," Potion Shelves, Tool Racks, Wooden Shelves, Wooden Labels for chests (shift right click with an empty hand, holds 3 items). You can use the Wooden Labels to say there are three things in a chest or a category defined by the three things, like three different ores.
  6. I've heard that using paper for the tool binding or any of the three sword guards gives 1 extra upgrade without any ill effect. Some other materials may have their own effect though.
  7. Already has a diamond on it? It's not a Tinkers Construct pickaxe? Try the bottom box?
  8. The ceiling is 256m from bedrock. In the overworld I've seen a shadow on the water and had to stand under a floating town and look up for it to be rendered. Edit: Minecraft wiki says Nether Brick shows up from 19-86. Common from 48-66. Nether Brick only shows up in nether fortresses. These are for 128 max build height. You could lower the frequency of the mod structures, then go to new chunks.
  9. You can fly right past them. They can be buried in netherrack. Branch mining with a gap smaller than a netherfortress between? Take a copy of the world and cheat in TNT? Don't use too much or you won't leave a piece of the fortress to see.
  10. Turn off particles when you're near the meteor shield. Turn them back on when you travel. Place the meteor shield high and put blocks on the side and bottom so you can't see the particles.
  11. Try it on the enchantment table. Bibliocraft bookcases with Tinkers Construct manuals give 4 levels each, rather than 2 from bookshelves. The Tinkers Construct manuals only cost 1 paper, 2 sticks and 2 planks each. Saves 2 paper and 6 leather per 4 levels at the expense of about 11 wood. It also gives you an extra half meter of space around the enchantment table. Open the bookcase and drag the books across the slots. It can hold a stack of manuals in each slot, I didn't check if this let you use one bookcase to add 256 levels.
  12. Water[fall] ladder. Make it work. It's so rare a spawn this will be your only chance. Or at least record the seed.
  13. Launch with the launch file rather than minecraft_server.jar.
  14. Did you use the wooden door? I think it only goes towards the overworld. The rift blade doesn't open portals to the overworld.
  15. I think you should use the Technic launcher. Hexxit uses a custom jar. Here's a video that claims how to do it for another Technic modpack: proEndreeper - Add Technic to MultiMC
  16. Please try Hexxit and start crying for combining Big Dig and Hexxit. Hexxit gives you loot and challenges. Worthwhile loot, challenges and large structures to compare yours with are missing from Tekkit and Big Dig. Hexxit has them.
  17. Does MultiMC know to launch modpack.jar rather than minecraft.jar? [Or however it's supposed to be launched.]
  18. I think you either did something, or it's just randomness. You can pick a seed that you already know has curves. [Edit: Don't use the same world name. It might not be deleting the files, and you're getting the leftover biomes (which I think are chunky).] [Edit: Are you using a different terrain generator?] [Edit: You can delete everything put the worlds you like from the hexxit folder and start over.]
  19. Hexxit also has creeper and bomb flowers. (Edit: The bomb flowers don't damage blocks.)
  20. How are you getting Hexxit? Pieces? Use the launcher once? Server version?
  21. java -Xmx4G -Xms2G -XX:MaxPermSize=256M -jar Hexxit.jar nogui is for a server. java -Xmx4G -Xms2G -XX:MaxPermSize=256M -jar modpack.jar I guess you'd do this? (I have no experience launching the single player any way other than the launcher.)
  22. Single Player: Just use the launcher!!! The gear in the top right lets you set the max memory and increased permgen. Don't set the memory externally. (You also reversed starting memory and max memory. x_x)
  23. I was having problems with Java before update 25. Hexxit still uses MC1.5.2, so no changes are required.
  24. Was -Xmx being small than -Xms a typo? Also starting with too much -Xms may cause a huge garbage collection lag spike when it fills that starting amount up. java -Xmx4G -Xms2G -XX:MaxPermSize=256M -jar Hexxit.jar nogui -Xms is the starting amount, -Xmx is the max Pastebin1 Pastebin2 Type the link name, select it, click the chain button (5th from the right), paste link into popup. Edit: You used: -Xmx2048M -Xms4096M -Xms2048m -Xmx4096m -Xmx is needs to be greater or equal to -Xms, and only use one of each. I think you need to use the capital letter. Is this single player, or a server?
