No, probably not. You'd just need the converter block ("Redstone Flux Engine"?) KL said he would include in between your conduits and your quarry. The changes might be significant enough to warrant map resets and a 2.x version of the pack, but I see no need for a whole new pack.

I was able to hit the ground running. I had played a lot of Tekkit Lite before Tekkit came out, and I researched and experimented with the fancy new Thermal Expansion stuff as I macerated my ores with IC2. By the time Tekkit was released, I was a Thermal Expansion pro.

As neither I or this mystical force (God? KakerMix? That thumbtack on my bulletein board? Who knows what's responsible!?!? I'm suddenly very scared by this game.) that grants these wishes knows what eternal cake life is, you are turned into a cake as a substitute. TheBytemaster eats you for dessert. Sounds good to me! I wish video card manufacturers would better support Linux so I wouldn't have to wait for Microsoft to get their rear in gear so I can update from Win 7.

The main obstacle is Thermal Expansion, which is currently in heavy development for 1.6. I predict less than a month. (But for all I know it could be tomorrow, or just as easily June 18th 2036, so don't quote me on that. )

The bug boards are set up differently. At the top of the page, click "submit a bug report", which will take you to the form to fill out. That's the only way to start a new topic in those sections.

Those things are missing because the mod they are from isn't part of the pack. Tekkit is quite different from Tekkit Lite, Tekkit Classic, FTB, etc. and takes some getting used to, but give it a chance. The feel is very different (Less early game content- Pneumatic tubes, barrels, etc.) but everything is equally possible.

King_Lemming updates Thermal Expansion to 1.6.x and hands off development to a trusted dev team as expected, while remaining in creative control, but unfortunately, due to Covert Jaguar's improvements to Buildcraft, Thermal Expansion is forced to move to it's own energy system and you have to restart the world you put dozens of hours into anyway. I wish I didn't have to take Spanish classes.

The feature that tells players what version of Minecraft a server is running was added in 1.3, so that's the oldest newer clients can show. You are trying to join a Tekkit Classic server with a Tekkit client. Wrong pack.

For large servers, generally it's a good idea to install MCPC+.

I've never heard of the "Computor" operating system. Is it a new type of Linux? Is 3D anaglyph turned on in video settings?
