  1. To answer the question in the title: NO Separate singleplayer and multiplayer packs were required only for under-the-hood-reasons, which were resolved by Minecraft 1.3. Tekkit (main) is the direct successor to both Tekkit Classic and Technic.
  2. Maybe you accidentally set up a Tekkit server.
  3. Yes. Tekkit.jar is named after the modpack, not the mods contained within the file itself. Tekkit.jar is the equivalent of modpack.jar for the client, it only contains forge, which MCPC+ includes.
  4. Kocken was saying something about your profile page.... I don't remember. I thought I'd remember if I saw it, but I guess not.

Same. I can't actually drink because I will get a week long hangover even if I was over age due to a medical condition. I was just that desperate to make a James Bond reference.

I've never actually seen a James Bond movie, (*gasp*) so I missed the reference completely. Ooops.

Eh, I haven't seen any but the latest one. You're not alone by any means.

  5. Why should they?
  6. I don't think you can. Why?
  7. I'd assume the opposite. Tekkit Lite was a special case- It was intended as more of a test than a permanent investment, just testing the waters after significant changes to Minecraft and the Modding Community.
  8. I thought you needed some spawning control mod in addition. What?
  9. I'd try the OpenBlocks mod.
  10. For some reason, luncher is valid in many spell-checkers, but launcher is not. (Incidentally, the opposite is true for IE10's)
  11. You could probably find a Bukkit plugin to generate crazy terrain on a server.
  12. You could build a vanilla-style elevator. It would be much easier with MFR cables.
  13. Place the mod files in the Tekkit lite mod folder.
  14. I think it'd be much simpler to call it Tekkit 2, as in Tekkit version 2.0. It's been done before. I'd say the pretty breaking changes in TE warrant a 2.0 version, but not a whole new pack.
  15. Are there any left over shirts? Did maybe one fall out of the box in the hotel room or something?
  16. I don't understand why the converter would be taken out. Where did King Lemming say it would be? I see no indication that it wasn't intended to be a permanent feature. Honestly, I don't see what the problem is. So, you need a converter between your quarry and your Tesseract. Bummer. MFR and AE are already on board with the RF API, and UE is considering switching over to it.
  17. *Glances at avatar* Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.
  18. :D I'd buy one!

  20. I know Engineer's Toolbox can do this kind of stuff.
  21. I'd suggest you take a look in the server section. :)
  22. Thermal Expansion is getting loads of new content. It would be really, really dumb to take it out. Also, UE in Tekkit is not going to happen. That's what Voltz is for. (CanVox's own words- Personally, not a fan of UE so I support this decision.) These are our options as I see them: Keep Buildcraft and TE. We have been promised a converter built in, and really. Think about it. Is there any reason whatsoever to take it out for 1.7 because of 1.7? Same as ^ but add IC2. New content is fun. Tekkit isn't specifically meant to have 1 energy network, it's meant to have a slimmer set of Mods that won't take ages to update. *cough* redpower *cough* The long wait for TE3 is a bump in the road but isn't a disaster.
  23. Besides, the forums are only one part of Technic. Personally, I used the launcher for over 6 months before I joined the forums. I don't know for sure (I think I'd need a red name) but I suspect the forums users are only a fraction of those who use Technic.
  24. Never heard of any of those. Are they new?
