  1. The button thing.... I placed a button on an engine. (and put frames around so the button would stay on) Then, I pressed the button and the whole thing moved like it should. When it stopped after moving one block, everything was like it should have been except the button was stuck depressed. It wasn't just a visual bug because the hitbox rendered correctly according to the button's appearance and it couldn't be pressed. Edit: Never mind. That's called a 'Ninja' when someone beats you to a post, right? Excellent! I'd love to be able to do this or something. Thanks. =)
  2. I'm testing out this mod, and so far I really like it. Just a few things- When I use a button to move an engine, it stays depressed after it moves. I know block rendering and hitboxes (solidity) for moving blocks will come, so I'm not worried about that. Finally, the super- HD textures kind of bother me. They look good, and if you want to keep them that's fine, but I find it annoying when mods ship with higher resolution textures. Edit: in creative mode, blocks drop as items when broken. Definitely bedrock bottom on the to-do list, but it's a little annoying and I assume it's a quick fix. Edit 2: ComputerCraft computers and turtles don't keep running their programs after moved.... didn't they with Redpower frames? Anyway, this mod has huge potential, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in Tekkit when it is closer to being done. Very cool. The MFR stuff looks really neat (Haven't tried it yet) but I could still use a red alloy wire replacement. Thanks immibis! =D

  4. Yup, they just aren't giving us very much to work with.... aside from possibly Ars Magica and Thaumcraft. I think this is building up more hype than for Tekkit!
  5. Yeah, like I said, a lot of work. XD Anyway, Hexxit. I like the name, but if I was supposed to pick up on what exactly it is, umm, I don't know. I guess we'll find out.
  6. If it worked fine for you before, the only thing I can think of to try is deleting the Big Dig folder. Don't forget to make copies of your save files. I have had issues in the past with partially updating packs and then quitting. Deleting the folder and starting fresh is the way to go.
  7. That actually sounds really really cool. Maybe a future Galacticraft feature could be "Chose your starting planet" It would take a lot of work to make each of the planets fully and sustainably habitable.

  10. I am surprised they aren't waiting for 1.6- What are we going to ride into the sunset? Mo' Creatures adds horses in 1.5, but also some pretty magiky stuff that wouldn't suit the upcoming pack. Edit: Actually, I don't blame them. Why wait an unknown number of weeks if you can make a modpack for this stuff right now! Why wait when there's such great mods like..... oh wait.

  12. This. I never really thought about it until now, but I think you are right. Sound is something that is really missing from TE. I never really liked the IC2 sounds (They seemed kind of jarring, and didn't run together very well. At least the macerator's.) But having a room full of quietly humming machines would be so cool compared to a room full of silent blocks. Anyway, I hope Alblaka rejoins the Minecraft community some day. I heard he was burnt out and hasn't been heard from recently. Maybe he can do IC3 or something?

  14. Oh. I see. That's pretty cool. Success! Settting "Use Pixel/Vertex Shaders" to false and "Bloom Multiplier" to 1 clears everything up nicely! It doesn't run as smoothly as it could, but I probably just need a better computer. Maybe set those values as default for the benefit of people with computers like mine?
  15. Ah, yes, it is very rare, and I have only noticed it 2 or 3 times before, on Big Dig. I was in creative mode, so no biggie. It does seem like in survival mode death in the void would be possible.... or would you warp back to the surface when the save is done?
  16. I got a white screen crash when I took out Galacticraft. The issue must be with Modular Powersuits. I took it out and frames were high, and the game ran smoothly. I also fell through the world (solid blocks, including bedrock) when I moved forward. I've noticed this glitch a couple of times, only recently (on 1.5)

  19. Oh no! That's terrible! FTB is already unplayable for me (IDK why, any pack that launches from their launcher is automatically laggy no matter what) but if you mix slow with Tekkit as well, I will have no choice but to play vanilla! =O
  20. Do you mean you want to put the client's IP address into the server? If so, you don't need to do that. Only the client needs an IP address.
  21. I doubt that it has to do with space. Ancient peeps were obsessed with [Constellations], but now that we have actually been in space, does anyone really care? In my opinion it looks like a new magic pack is coming out.
  22. Hi! I'm that guy from the 1.1.2 thread with the performance issues. I tried removing all the new mods, then I tried removing MFR, then I tried removing Chicken Chunks, and finally I tried removing NEI and NEI plugins. Still stuck at a very rough 24 fps. What else should I try?
  23. I took out MFFS, Simple Power Storage, Logistics Pipes, and Open Peripherals. FPS went up by about 5, averaging at 30 or so. The game really didn't run any smoother. I have to go now, but I'll test more tomorrow. Thanks. =)
