Thanks Weir! I have no idea what the hell a subnetwork is but now I at least understand how to set up my Crucible/Transposer to my ME network. Those were the last few things I was still doing manually. =P

I need some help setting up a Tekkit server on my computer
Prototype958 replied to Warpflare's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Did you port forward? And if you're not willing/able to do that, try setting up with Himachi. Himachi is a little easier, yet more restrictive(free version I think is only 5 connections?), but unnecessary if you have basic computer knowledge. The .bat isn't going to have too much to do people unable to connect, it's more about your config file. -Did you double check that the address you put in the config file matches the one you enter in the game? -Did you enable WhiteListing? If so make sure everyone who wants to join is on it or it won't allow them in. -
I've never been able to get the ground cannons to work either. Have you powered the gauntlet? All of those weapons take at least some power

That is awesome Kiwi! I love the unique building style. Build it to the sky! =P My new favorite thing! Fully automated ore processing, don't have to touch a thing. =P http://imgur.com/SclaP2g A little tough to make it out in this one, but the back row is all the machines with ME Interfaces filled with recipes for crafting. Tucked under the stairs in the right hand corner is where I receive everything in from my Quarry, all the cobble, dirt, gravel and other random crap I don't need anymore of is filtered to a void pipe, everything else is sent to an Obsidian Chest connected to a Storage Bus. Then, the front row of machines is simply 2 Pulverizers and 2 Powered Furnace's, each with a Precision Export bus and a Basic import bus. Then using the exports I assigned each pair of machines about half the work load with different dust/ore. http://imgur.com/4RdVOBJ Then the bars are shipped off to my DSU storage center that continues to grow very quickly. =P Really proud of this set up. Still not the best but it's a work in progress.

It was an Ad... It probably sent you to one of those "AdBuzz" Pages where it says "Select your country, select your OS, click download" right? Well at the top right of that page there's a button that says SKIP AD. I fell for it once, but if you had been paying attention to the name of the software it wanted you to download you'll see that it clearly wasn't Technic EDIT:: Or this is what he saw... http://imgur.com/T6lU6J2 Ignore the window on the right, I didn't about my second monitor open, just watching YouTube.. Lol

I think Fulmination wasn't working properly, though the guy doing the video I watched on it could have been doing it wrong. Lol. Deuteriam should just be empty cells and water in a chemical extractor?
-
It's between layers 2 and 25 I believe an I've found it's only slightly less rare then diamonds. I thought it needed something from AS to be fed to it, not iron. I'll look up the video I saw before of the Accelerator and see what it said it needed.

Is your reactor in the center of the middle turbine? Because that would tell me that the Fission reactors have a larger range them 3x3. This is my setup that I just finished a few minutes ago. http://imgur.com/HD80gmZ 2 reactors for 6 large turbines. The 2 in the middle were spinning pretty well around 5% power but the outer 4 didn't really pick up until around 10%. Each turbine is only touching the reactor's immediate 3x3 area with one corner and they all seem to be spinning full speed now.
-
Good to know, that's what it seems to be. Also, I thought this would be helpful since I didn't know... Mobs are not effected by radiation and really don't give a shit... Light your reactors... http://imgur.com/w4jpN1 Edit:: They are effected... They just found a safe zone in my enclosure

I haven't seen any good tutorials really for AS, I've been working most of it out myself really. Wish I had seen this thread sooner because I just finished my "basic" fission reactor setup and I'm about to expand it to multiple reactors. My current question is does the reactor only heat the water immediately adjacent to it? Or does it have a radius? Trying to figure out exact placement of my turbines since I built a shitload and half aren't powered from a single reactor. Lol

Looks Awesome Weir. Couple questions though. 1) What's the block hanging above your tree farm from the condut? 2) Do you have a fertilizer on your Cactus farm?? I didn't think that would work so I built that old school water way cactus farm! Lol 3) What do you have over in the corner to make a slime farm? Auto-Spawner? Haha, Dw! That looks like the majority of my worlds before I get bored with them. =P This is only like the second time I've stuck with a world for more then a week

I've only had that problem once with my Induction Smelter. I set up the Interface to input exactly what I needed, set both inputs to the same color NO EXPORT BUS and it works fine. I call for 50 Hardened Glass, I get 50 and I'm good to go for the next time I want to pump out some electrum or invar from the same machine. There was only one time where I wasn't getting what I called for and went to find that there was a stack of Lead stuck in one of the inputs. took it out and it hasn't happened since. I think one of the problems is people use an Export bus AND an interface, when really all you need is an interface if you set the inputs of the machine to be the same side that the Interface is on. That way it will only feed exactly what you need.

What caused your meltdown, anyway? I'm in the process of building a decent size Fission reactor right now and I don't want to end up with nothing but a crater and radioactive waste! It doesn't look like Fission needs Electromagnets/Electromagnetic Glass, just a constant supply of water. I figured if I did 2 layers of source blocks I should be safe from complete evap and then I just have the whole thing encased in glass. Everything looks like it's ready for me to add the turbines and reactor when I get home.

What about a simple level emitter? Tell the system to stop sending frames once you have a certain number of Cells or Tesseracts?
-
Shit, I'd build a factory of those cores just because they look bad ass screw the overkill, we can always find more ways to spend power. =P
-
I only have 24 now myself and I was able to run my "moderate" sized ME network, 4 Preloaded Mining Laser and a max sized Quarry this morning. with no noticible dip into my reserves. We'll see what it's at when I get home tonight, I turned the Laser down to 2 preloaders(I haven't hooked it into the network yet so I was afraid of chest overflow) and left my quarry running. Hopefully the server still exists when I get out. >_<

My head is going to explode from all the awesome in this thread already. You guys are amazing! I don't have near that much creativity. Check you're inbox Dew!

How do I update Space Tekkit to the recommended build?
Prototype958 replied to Brandon The Noob's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I think the big thing was that it fixed a few problems relating the the space station? I could be wrong though. -
Damn it Gildan... Lol That is so amazing.. You guys both got me outmatched in terms of structures. I'm a cave dweller, I dig into a hill and keep digging till I have the space I need. I'm terrible at buildings. =P Anyway, I love your power cores man, that's where I got the concept for the ones I did recently. Question though, and I assume it's in the middle, but how are you feeding the biofuel into the generators? Any chance of a cut away or some kind of inside shot? I need to see the guts! Lol. Mine are still pretty inefficient but so far so good. Just started feeding power to the MFR Laser Drill tonight and I'm not seeing any real power drain on any of my other machines yet. We'll see what happens overnight when those buffers and reserve tanks start to run dry though. =P
-
This is probably my favorite thing right now. I'll post an image of it running later tonight. I don't have much that I'm proud of out of Tekkit, but I love my Mob Factory. =P http://imgur.com/heUMHZX

Interesting. What command are is that and how do I go about it? I haven't heard of this before.

I was looking at all the DDoor and Myscraft "Worlds" I had in my Tekkit folder when i went to upgrade the server and I noticed they maintain the original world ID from when they're created(Age 175, Age 7, etc). is there a way to tell what the original name of an age is after you've renamed it? I would have no probelm just deleting them all, but I do have one that I use to house a pretty extensive Waypoint system with about a dozen other books linking back to Overworld, The Moon, other Ages, etc and I'd hate to lose that. Well... i guess if there's no other choice I could just sac the structures and take all the books back with me...
-
Haha, I think we covered all bases but the one that caused the problem! There's just so many silly things that can cause lag like that, it's hard to pinpoint sometimes. Nice job fixing it though.
-
I literally just upgraded to 1.1.5 this morning(maybe last night it's all blending together lately...) and haven't had a chance to play around with the Focre Fields. I definitely will soon though.

How do I update Space Tekkit to the recommended build?
Prototype958 replied to Brandon The Noob's topic in Tekkit Discussion
If you mean Tekkit 1.0.6, it should have defaulted to that in the settings. If not, when you're on the Technic Launcher, select the Tekkit mod pack(Black and Blue logo) from the right of the launcher. Then right below that you should see a little Gear icon, click that and it will bring up the settings box where you can select Recommended, Latest or older versions. Then the next time you launch Tekkit it should update your files to the correct version.
