Yep, its about choice. Personally I don't go in for TC2 or EE, that's my choice, I prefer the obviously tech based things like IC2 or Buildcraft, but then I tend to read hard science fiction not fantasy. Mods can become overpowered when combined with other mods and take away a lot of the feeling of achievement, but that is a very personal thing. I once built a 100*75*30 block cruciform 'cathedral' building, every block was dug by hand or buildcraft, smelted or crafted as appropriate and placed by hand. Yet the roof was constructed out of netherbrick stairs made from netherbrick blocks which were transmuted in EE, because it just wasn't practical to try and mine out an entire nether fortress for one bloody big roof. So personal choices for personal play styles.

I've just realised that the OP may have been misunderstood. We're all assuming that he meant the administrators were acting in a manner that could be described as 'dick like', but what if he wasn't, maybe it's all a serious mistake on our part. Perhaps the following scenarios will help to clarify the matter. 1. He thinks Kakermix is like the right hand of God when producing new bodies, as in "Were you at the back of the line when God was handing out penis's?", "It was Gods day off and the Dick Administrator was in charge." A powerful position in heaven. 2. He thinks the admins are part of his autonomous nervous system. "Why did you get a hard on in front of the 70 year old school nurse? "It's not my fault my dick administrator is on the fritz." 3. Or he has been part of some form of pedo punishment ring. "You've been a naughty boy, go and see the dick administrator!" He might just be confused and in need of our sympathy. And here's one directly for Kakermix. Assuming you're male and have a sexual partner, you will now be able to stand in front of them, naked, legs akimbo and hands on hips and say "I AM THE DICK ADMINISTRATOR." for someone on the internet has said it so it must be true.

This sounds exactly like a problem I've had since starting technic, server runs and shows up on other users multiplayer screens but just times out when you try to connect. It's a weird one I never managed to resolve, so to run the server you've got to lose the client it seems.

From the OP's screen cap he's playing 1.2.5 and therefore the dev build. A problem with a dev build, well I never, who'd of thought.

As mojang have kind of added blocks in a pretty much hap hazard way then I'd guessed that each block was its own individual thing rather using different attributes. If I could remember the correct object oriented terminology I'd use it but if you don't use it you lose it.

looks like these ideas could be possible then, I have a feeling that making all variations for placeable blocks might be harder than just stating it. I suppose it depends how mojang has coded it. If shapeless recipes are easy to make, how about milk and cobble/ stone brick, in real life people paint yogurt over statues to encourage moss to grow so there is a logical basis. Even if it sounds weird.

A stone brick cracker, to make the cracked stone brick. Could even be a recipe variation for the IC2 compressor, put stone brick in get cracked stone brick out.

A couple of Architectural requests. 1) Coloured glass. 2) Any placeable block can have the full range of styles, stairs, slabs and upside down versions. And a some machine ideas. 1) A moss generator to make mossy cobble and brick 2) A stone brick cracker. Basically legit ways to make special blocks that either need to be spawned in or are rare so have to be transmuted too in EE.

The upside down stairs were added in vanilla 1.2.5 (iirc) technic is still running 1.1. You'll have to wait for the update.
