  1. if you look, one of the blocks that you need is an automatic crafting table, which only requires wood to create. I told you this before, but you didn't listen apparently.
  2. how dare you threaten to harm such a gentle, majestic creature! I don't care if you took it back, this means war! :3
  3. what addon is that? anyways, the item is an interdiction torch.
  4. I actually just copied over the FTB Nether and deleted any extra blocks/items. I just want to do Netherish stuff!

    Add the Aether

on topic with the post, and pretending that I had any reason to take this thread seriously, I think that adding the aether would be a bad idea. the aether has nothing to do with the other mods and you basically have to go into the aether with nothing and start anew, because overworld tools are pieces of junk in the aether. go ahead and install it yourself, but don't try to make everyone else add another minecraft to minecraft.
  6. I'm sorry, but I have to. why would an alot care what you use?
  7. I have come across a lot of maps that people have not been able to play on tekkit because they were released as smp saves. well this is a guide for map creators/users in converting a world save for ssp, smp, or both. SMP TO SSP: unzip the map folder if you haven't already. there should be 3 folders: world, world_nether, and world_the_end. open up world, world_nether and world_the_end in seperate windows. copy and paste DIM1 and DIM-1 into the world folder. rename the world folder whatever you want, put into your saves folder and enjoy! SSP TO SMP: unzip the world save folder. rename the folder "world" and create two folders, named "world_nether" and "world_the_end" copy and paste all the files in world to world_nether except for region and DIM1 copy and paste all the files in world to world_the_end except for region and DIM_1 if there is already these folders in the server's folder, DELETE THEM BEFORE INSTALLING THE SAVE!!! put world, world_nether and world_the_end into the folder that contains the server program, run the server and enjoy! unfortunately, porting to technic is a bit more complicated because technic has different mods and different block/item ids, so a tekkit map is only tekkit, and technic maps are only technic. bug the map dev to make a version for the other pack! by following that guide, you can make a map uploaded in ssp or smp format into a save that can be installed as either! yippee!
  8. there's a difference between tekkit and technic. tekkit is easier to learn than technic, because technic has BC3 instead of BC2, and technic has thaumcraft (which sort of forces you into using it at times) and then there's mystcraft. tekkit is a lot easier to make a map with, so most people use it for maps. it's still a great ssp modpack, and a lot better for teh noobs. anyways, I made a download that is both a zip and usable in SSP/SMP. http://www.mediafire.com/?op3233jyoa3t399
  9. why would you hank him? how hilariously rude!
  10. oh yeah... I probably should have put tekkit on there... I'm makeing a technic one with thaumcraft goodies, too.
  11. there's a reason that this is in the requests section.
  12. well it's technically 1.5 new maps... for the skyblock ones, I just made my own Nether and replaced the sand island with the unobtainable ores satelite, but it occurs to me that I never posted any rules. oops! :/
  13. well the way she has it set up is you have to sork for bluetricity. if you could just turn a generator into a bluetricity producer, that would break what she wanted it to be like. with the buildcraft/ic2 converters, it is balanced, considering that buildraft has no storage units, the power converters allow you to store BC energy as EU. although it would be cool to be able to store BC energy in a gearbox or somethiing.

    Add the Aether

    so much giggle. so much.
  15. What I don't get is with bluetricity, you can only generate passive energy. What I want is to be able to put excess nikolite into a batterybox and have it be converted directly to bluetricity. I don't care how inneficient it becomes, as long as there is an alternative if you need some bluetricity fast, or just have way too much nikolite.
  16. hiya! did you know that with ten lapis lazuli, a recycler, a solar panel and a skyblock you can make almost anything that exists in tekkit? well it's true. I made two versions of two maps, one of them my design, the other an adaptation of Skyblock. I used the map as a base, after all! screenies: spawn island, with tree satelites. the unobtainable ores satelite The Nether is a secret! :3 The chest has a lava bucket, a water source, a recycler, a solar panel, two lapis lazuli blocks, and an electric wrench. in the EE (Easy Edition) versions, there is also a transmutation tablet in the chest! I made a custom Nether for all four maps, and I just replaced the sand island in the skyblock maps with the satelite. in case you don't know about skyblock, click the circle. v >o< ^ RULE: DO NOT BRIDGE TO THE MAINLAND!!! that means in the real world and the Nether. CHALLENGES! (so you have something to work towards) Make a Cobblestone generator (for tradition's sake ) get to the Nether. Get a diamond from a scrapbox. Drive a tunnel bore into the Void! Generate 64 scrap. Make a mass fabricator. have 4 full MFSU's at the same time. quarry out the void! Make a cup of coffee. Make a HV Solar array make full quantam armour. make full RM armour (or gem armour if you want) Kill the dragon Have an iron golem spawn (don't construct it) Fly to the mainland. I hope you have fun with this! if you have any questions, post a reply! also, give me ideas for challenges! DOWNLOADS
  17. I'll get to work on a mod-based branch-type tutorial map, but I can't build for crap. IC teleporters!
  18. fine, I didn't do it the lazy way this time. I recompressed it into a zip instead of renaming it. here ya go: http://www.mediafire.com/?grg3a2g9aeb1rp5
  19. just saying, I am a dang good tester. I will play through your map, giving my own personal opinion, and if there is a bug, I will get downright surgical, finding out what's wrong and exactly how to fix it. I will test for the unexpected, and will try to do anything that I can do within the limits of the rules. I won't give out my skype on any forum, but if you PM me, I will respond. just a side note, I will test anything and anything you have for me, wether it be mods, maps, texture packs, etc.
  20. no. read the original post. it is still a work in progress. the download is simply a prerelease. I assume that you knew that and you are impatient enough to reply to the thread with four question marks like a dyslexic hobo. in case you didn't know, that is extremely rude and causes developers to stop trying due to stress. next time only ask that if you have legitimate reason to. jeegus.
  21. with a recycler, you can make scrap. with scrap, scrapboxes. scrapboxes produce random items, and with a skyblock, you have wood and infinite cobble so you have plenty of material to scrap, and can make furnaces to cook stuff in. you can get all the items that you except for lapis need to make a mass fab with scrapboxes, but it will take a lot of time and a lot of cobble. you technically only need ten lapis for a mass fabricator, but I prefer to give it out in blocks. that way you can more easily decorate a loot chest with it. pretty much the only things you can't make from a recycler are silver and nikolite. I also like to include an electric wrench in case you want to move your solar recycler. this is all without equivalent exchange doodads. :P
  22. ... this was a very entertaining thread to read. I personally think that EE is missing a time element with exchanging, so you have to spend some time to transmute things. I will have to side with UU matter folks. while EE is one of the funnest mods I've ever used, it's just too overpowered. with EE, you get free stuff from collectors. free! over time, this free stuff comes faster and faster, until you're making a red matter every second and you eat diamonds as if they were cereal. and to get started? 9 diamonds, 6 glowstone, a glass and a furnace. blam. free stuff. with UU matter, you need to make a mass fabricator, which is a pretty complicated recipe. after you made it, it doesn't just spit out UU matter, that stuff costs energy, and a lot of it. without using EE or superpowered redpower quarries, it can take a really long time to get to the duplication point. another thing, solar panels are complicated to make as well, and a HV solar array includes 512 of them. that's 8 stacks of solar panels. that's a lot of moolah. once you get there, then UU can be pretty powerful, but before that, there is a lot of work. also, did you know that with a recycler, solar panel, two blocks of lapis lazuli and a skyblock you can make almost any item in the game?
  23. I found the link, and I went ahead and uploaded a .zip version to mediafire, so you people without any halfway decent archiver can still play. killing two birds with one stone by making an alternate link way back here and making it a zip. thank you prasselpikachu for steering me to the link. http://www.mediafire.com/?4yc90x1eb11oi20
