That means that even though your PC has the ram but java doesn't have access to it follow this link and it should help you also make sure you have java 64 BIT installed and not the 32 bit (you can tell if you go to your control panel it just says JAVA, if it says java 32 bit you have the wrong one http://www.wikihow.com/Increase-Java-Memory-in-Windows-7 (ignore the fact it is for 32bit the steps are the same for the 64 bit)

what version of galacticcraft are you using? I have wanted this fixed for awhile (as has alot of people) and it was a known bug, I just learned on another post that lots of air bubbles can cause major lag

which java profiler did you use? till now I have only been using nolagg examine but that only watches bukkit plugins. our server is exactly like yours there are just fewer of us. and yea we have these grand space stations, we are having a bit of a tps issue at the moment that is hard to track down, it only happens when this one guy logs in and we have narrowed it down to somewhere in his storage room, we are really big into logistic pipes. other then minor layout his system is close to mine but I have none of the issues he does. would be interesting to find out which plug in is causing it

a bukkit plugin called residence is what I used to use, then had ICBM mod installed and I let the laser turrets take care of it, now I just live in my glacticraft spacestation and they don't spawn there

if I could figure out how to upload screenshots without having to have them hosted somewhere, I could show you my setup. I just do a small half circle with and accelerator at each end, you need the particles to reach 50% acceleration before they hit each other but any faster than that and they will start destroying blocks when they hit

On my server what seemed to be causing a lot of lag is things like bad mystcraft ages, improper use of logistics pipes and lots of blocks that are tagged as private (furnaces, chests, quartz blocks) I have a bukkit/tekkit server I run, the private blocks comes from essentials, also you could try something like nolagg examine it might tell you where the issue is coming from
