That first link is the one I watched before coming to the Technic Pack, and funnily enough, I felt a glimmer of respect for the guy from it. I thought he was nutso and wrong, but he actually had reasoned out his position and it made sense. And then I was exposed to the -rest- of FlowerChild's...um, personality...and history, and started to wonder if that was where he decided to board the crazy train, or if it was a cunning ploy. Oh well.

Kind of what happened to "Epic Mickey". All this hype, all this promise (you should have read the Game Informer article about it; very nice), and then somebody said "oh shit, we might piss of soccer moms in Oklahoma" and boom. Watered-down shitsoup.

Oh, that just sounds like what I did with my tweaks. All he does is compile the Forge code into his code, so the Forge-compatible version simply includes the bits that he otherwise would obliterate. It's the best way to do it until Eloraam's/ChickenBones's grand individual-class-overloading scheme comes to fruition.

Darkspore was rather nice, though. I'm waiting to get it in a Steam firesale since it looks really repetitive, but the game itself is quality if played in moderation.

My father uses the .exe on 32bit Vista just fine. That's not always the problem either.

It can be, yes, but it's usually a misconfiguration in that case. I've been using Norton for years with no problems (including with Technic).

Hacking? Who's hacking? Two of the biggest mods in the pack include items to fly, so what's this nonsense about hacking? You might be playing the wrong damn pack.
