Those are just there because Railcraft has Forestry compatibility which doesn't actually check to see if you have Forestry installed. It's easy to install yourself though, just drop the forestry jar into your mods folder and let IDresolver sort all the IDs.

Yeah, it really helps make Buildcraft worthwhile for me. Buildcraft on its own is pretty meh in my eyes, add in Thermal Expansion, Forestry and Advanced Power Systems, and it becomes awesome.

A small amount of derping up is amusing yeah, but by the time he gets to tier 1 of a mod, I've usually maxed out two or more. Then again, most LPers are the same in the situation. They just aren't efficent enough for me :P

Yeah, Sengir added code that effectively fucked up your world if you were running Forestry via the launcher, such as bees that exploded with the force of TNT, and machines that didn't work. The code is no longer in the mod, so you can install it manually.

If it doesn't work after a while, try redownloading the pack.

If you play for a while minecraft should automatically redownload all of the sound resources.

Both Sir Sengir and Krapht maintain it, but it's open source, so there's not exactly anything he could do against us.

Yeah, the Technic launcher is a fork of the Spoutcraft launcher. It just connects to Minecraft.net to download the minecraft.jar.

Yeah, we even have donation links linking directly to the modders' donation pages, so it's not as if being in Technic is harmful.

It wasn't Sengir who had the code that would crash you if you had mods, it was the dude who made the Solar Helmets mod for IC.

No, he had some code that would straight up crash the mod if you ran it along with all the mods in technic, even if you painstakingly spent time putting them together manually. And the mod is merged into mainline IC now.

Regarding signatures, you may think it's a stupid rule, but it's a rule nonetheless, and we expect you to follow them. Regarding the massive pile of poeple talking about it, we moderators are perfectly capable of enforcing the rules on our own, and backseat moderating is, if anything, a more serious rule breakage than post signing. Any more discussion of the sort and I'm deleting the thread.

Yeah, considering you could spend 5 hours writing up a massive tutorial on how to use sparklefart's dong mod, only to find out that it's being removed from the pack tomorrow, an official wiki is never going to be a thing. If you want to help, then help out on the unofficial one on wikia, it's the best of the lot so far.

You can convert it into most of the base materials in the game.

Yeah, sorting has some wierd issues with damage values in SMP. There's no real solution other than to keep your RE-Batteries separate from your main crap. Unless there's an actual solution of which I don't know.
