Technic Launcher modpacks not loading
JaariAtmc replied to CHINESE CHEF's question in Technic Launcher
It's very well possible they are using Java 8u261/271, while their pc is limitted to 8u251. -
Technic SSP is 1.2.5 max. The modpack I linked to is Technic SSP for 1.2.5, which can be played on the current launcher.
-
Yes, that's the modpack I linked to above. There are multiple builds for that, which minecraft version's build were you looking for?
-
Forge update 1.12.2 - 14.23.5.2851 changed things. You need the Forge Installer renamed as modpack instead of Universal. Download and rename the Installer, DO NOT run/install/extract the installer.

Like this one? http://www.mediafire.com/file/t6daxmxgtoglvo4/Sphax_PureBDCraft_128x_tekkit_classic.zip/file

Because everything was transferred at some point to the new launcher, as well as the whole Minecraft to Mojang account thing that happened at some point. Which was your favourite build?
-
Anyhow, the old launcher is sorta existing, but it no longer works. The authentication is broken, which causes the launcher to not work anymore.
-
Provide a log (use pastebin, or add the log if its small enough)?
-
Technic SSP is downloadable on the regular launcher? https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/technic-ssp.1777938/about
-
Once Mojang/Microsoft posts something that explains "HOW" to do that, yeah, then it'll be implemented. Hopefully. Wouldn't be the first time its going to be a long process with Mojang/Microsoft not giving enough info...
-
Use Java 8, not Java 15.
-
You don't use the installer. That's only for 2854 (2851 or 1.13+). For 1.7.10, you download the universal forge, which you rename. Your new link can't be opened, btw.
-
You made the exact same mistake as what I posted in my last comment on there. Also, your mods folder is empty?
-
-
Oh, looks like I missed that. Here's the wget command. wget --header "Cookie: oraclelicense=accept-securebackup-cookie" https://download.oracle.com/otn/java/jdk/8u251-b08/3d5a2bb8f8d4428bbe94aed7ec7ae784/jdk-8u251-linux-x64.tar.gz
-
That's 3 seperate zips. 1 zip file, when you open it you find bin/config/mods.
-
Same issue, different java version, same fix.
-
I looked at it, you are doing two things wrong: You renamed it to modpack.jar with extensions hidden. That makes it that its now actually modpack.jar.jar. That's wrong, just name it "modpack" in your case. Zip the bin/config/mods folders directly. Don't zip the folder those 3 are in. You no longer have to include the coremods folder.

Java14.0.2 is known to have issues with Minecraft.
JaariAtmc replied to SBPomeroy26's question in Hexxit
Open the launcher, press yes on the popup. Go to Launcher options -> Java Settings. Choose 8u251 from the list. -
Modpack successfully downloads but loads the game with no mods
