I hope that modders (Extraplanetary Launchpads seems most likely, though other mods may appears) are able to somehow hook into upgradable buildings and allow for actual, functional buildings to be built anywhere on the planet(s). Then you're doing something wrong. If you have a Mojang account, like you said, type in your email address and the password. It should work without a problem. The only things I can think of that are going wrong is 1) You're either typing in your password or email address wrong 2) You've pirated Minecraft, which the launcher won't work with (but seeing as you migrated that couldn't be true) I'm a cool person and I like to think the best of people, so I'm gonna go ahead and suggest you accidentally slipped up and mistyped your password. Try again.

Try if you can log-in to the vanilla Minecraft launcher. If you can, try again on Technic. If you can't, contact Mojang.

Technic is just as liable to steal and resell your account as the next launcher. So, if you trust FTB, ATLauncher or any (if any) of the other BIG names in third party launchers, you can trust Technic. If you don't trust any of the other launchers, let me assure you: I've been here for quite a while, playing with the launcher and my account is perfectly safe.

Is it an SSTO or a more-or-less traditional shuttle? If it's carried into space on top of a rocket, you might do with an LV-909 instead. Less thrust, but also more fuel efficient if I'm reading the wiki correctly.

Do you want to stay completely stock? If you don't, check out BD Armory. Pretty cool weapons mod with a variety of explosive devices and things that go ratatatatatatatatata! very neatly.

You're talking about a mod for a multiplayer game for a game mode we don't know what it is going to look like. 20 points for enthusiasm, but -10 for running ahead. Honestly, it does sound amazing, but at some point you're going to run out of stuff to speculate about, innit?

Villages have been turned off, due to generation issues. Villages CAN be made. Make a computer from Mr Crayfish' and buy villager spawn eggs.
