  1. You can disable items to go into recyclers and therefore make it harder to get UU-matter, otherwise I'm not too sure. Perhaps an item from a mod, like gems or silver?
  2. I'd recommend installing the LWC plugin, it allows you to add custom block IDs to be protected. This stops users from being able to open machines and comes with commands like /cpersist to easily lock several machines at once with ease. It works fine on my server and any thefts from unprotected machines, we unfortunately can't help with as there are no logs for machine transactions, but we do encourage our users to lock them.
  3. The answer you're looking for is PermissionsEx which can be found here. You will need to open the modifyworld config and allow item restrictions and then you can use nodes like this: - -modifyworld.blocks.place.237 Stops users from placing the block stated or - -modifyworld.items.have.237 If a user has this item in their inventory, it will be removed There are other nodes that can be used and are listed here, but I'm not 100% sure if they're all compatible with Tekkit items.
  4. I've had a look through the IC config and don't think this is possible (correct me if I'm wrong), maybe you could find an alternative item that could be used for the economy?
  5. I personally dislike EE, it makes the game far too quick. I like to call the economy on my server Equivalent Exchange Pro, where items will change value and we handle "transmution" with money. I find EE is far too destructive, far too easy to play, and I have so much more fun working out new combinations with the other really interesting mods, like RedPower and frames. There is so much more to Tekkit than grabbing your energy condensers, standing in your house all day with no exploration at all. My alternatives to EE items: Transmution - Economy Flying - Quantum/Jetpacks Getting items "from nothing" - Recylcers/cobble generators/UU-matter (Of course it's much more limited, but it works for all the basic items, which you could then sell on and buy other items off users) EE isn't a bad mod overall, the only reason I dislike it is the fact that it makes the game so fast, you have to put in no effort to get the items you need, you don't need to explore anything and the resources are at your finger tips. It's much harder to go mining yourself, but that's where machines come in. That's what Tekkit is about, building new contraptions and trying out new machines to get the resources you need. I feel the addition of frames will be very useful with their uses. Some of the items are good, but there are also alternatives, like enchanting for example. The only reason to enable EE is if you don't have much time, or to take out some parts of it to reduce or remove the endgame items or items that make the game boring. I get on fine with a diamond drill, jetpack, quantum armour with gathering resources etc. I also like trying out new things in Tekkit with mods like RedPower since their recent updates which are actually really exciting to use and experiment with. That's just my opinion on the matter.
  6. Loving the new forum, but it broke my thread. I'll spend a while clearing this up I guess. Thread fixed! In other news: Thanks to all your support! We reached 33 users online yesterday and it's certainly an achievement that we are all proud of. Thanks to all your continued support for donating and voting, we have reached rank 150 on Minestatus and are listed as the 2nd top Tekkit server at this moment in time! We couldn't do this without all your support and dedication in such a short space of time.
  7. Re: Tekkify - [3.0.4] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] I'll find out who banned you and talk to them, for now you will remain banned until it expires.
  8. Re: Tekkify - [3.0.4] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Appeal denied Reminder The virtual chests from the map reset are being removed this Sunday!

  10. Re: Tekkify - [3.0.4] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the support! It's things like this that make me and the rest of the staff want to carry on with this and help provide the best Tekkit experience possible.
  11. Re: Tekkify - [3.0.4] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the support. The server did go down for unknown reasons which I will check later, but has kind of come to our advantage. There has been a major duplication bug in 3.0.4 and hopefully this hasn't hit us hard as the server has been down. Also, to answer N1's question - 3.0.4 is the server build, it was an update on 3.0.3 to iron out some bugs. The client has had no updates and is still 3.0.3. The server is now up, we apologize for the downtime or inconvenience caused.
  12. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the support. :)
  13. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Always making errors.. But yeah, there was a 24 hour period to put your items into your inventories/virtual chests. We're now up on 3.0.4, all bugs and issues are fixed, everything's working as expected, and even better in some cases! Being able to update to the latest version of the plugins is great, many more features to use and play with.
  14. Launcher/pack Version: 3.0.4 Operating System: Linux CentOS Version of Java: Not quite sure.. Description of Problem: I and anyone else cannot craft items from mods. I put in the recipe, the item appears and then disappears a second later. I can spawn the items in fine, but cannot create them. Error Messages: None Link to pastebin of log: None Nevermind, fixed already - Restarted my server and it's fine, seems using /reload will break crafting.
  15. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] The server is currently down! We are having a scheduled maintenance bread to update to the new Tekkit version, 3.0.4! The server is now up! We have successfully transferred to 3.0.4 and you can collect your items from your chest!
  16. Re: [Tekkit 3.0.4 - V3 R1] WorldGuard Support -- [RELEASED] Will you be able to stop nuke block destruction and mining laser destruction in protected areas? Your post wasn't too detailed about what it can and can't do. I guess it stops users being able to use machines and rotate them with wrenches in protected areas. A suggestion would to also do this for the residence mod. It's the best protection mod out there in my personal opinion. We're currently using LWC to block use of the modded items, but this project seems like it could be very useful.
  17. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Was just told about this, will be updating the post with it. ^.^ On another note: We're currently having a small error, so transferring the spawn area will take a little longer to transfer than expected, but hopefully before the RB is released. Update 2: The map transition has gone much better than expected! There are a small amount of things to fix, but that's it and the map is ready. So far, the following is ready: The map, the plugins and how we are going about it. All we need now is for you to store your items for the transfer, wait for the update and we will then move over immediately. We also need to edit a couple of IDs as the crafting table II ID is being replaced by steel scaffolding. Tekkit 3.0.3 UPDATE The update is taking place in 24 hours at 6:15PM BST, Thursday 31 May 2012 Within this time, you are able to play as normal, but you must store your items in the chests at spawn. Just buy the chest, which is of course free, open it and store your items. You will also be able to store items in your inventory and wear your armour to take as much as over as you can. Nothing from the previous map will be taken over except for spawn You will keep your ranks, money, one chest, your inventory and your armour. No more, no less. NOTE! Use an electrical rank in lossless mode, better explained below, to remove your machines.
  18. Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit 3.0.3 Operating System: Windows 7 Version of Java: Latest, no problems with Java Description of Problem: I need to transfer my spawn from world A to world B. Both worlds are 1.2.5 and everything works fine in the worlds. My problem is, I don't know how. I've tried saving it as a schematic, but I get can error (see below). Do you have any other ideas? I'd prefer to keep the blocks from mods in spawn, these include things like basalt bricks, microblocks from RedPower and a few others. Error Message(s): java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -116 worldedit Link to pastebin of log: After loading the Schematic and using //paste: http://pastebin.com/jCRGs6Xn FIX Pasted my spawn into the nether, opened new world, pasted into that.
  19. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the suggestion, we may take this into consideration when we update to 3.0.3. Updates As the poll suggests, we will be transferring only the spawn, money, ranks and a specific amount of items per person. Plots will not be transferred. Wrenching your machines and a chance of a downgrade is a risk you're going to have to take. There's nothing we can do about it. Besides, you still get half the machine if it breaks. If you do have a very expensive machine, we suggest using the electric wrenches "lossless" mode. This stops machines from turning into their original piece. You will be able to take the following with you: - ONE single chest and one inventory full of items - ALL of your money - Your rank Tekkit 3.0.3 comes with a variety of updates, both with Vanilla Minecraft and the mods, these include and are not limited to: - Chat updates - New jungle biome & cats - Removal of Forestry - Removal of Balkon's Weapon Mod - New wireless redstone mod implemented - And more!
  20. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Considering the new Tekkit build: As you know, there is a new Tekkit build which removed and adds different blocks and items to Tekkit. So, there are a few choices you can make and we encourage you to help make these decisions that we have to make. You can vote in our poll, leave suggestions, comments and opinions over at http://bit.ly/tekkify/
  21. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the feedback, we will be performing some updates tomorrow, so there may be increments of downtime.
  22. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Things are definitely in progression, we're only new and I'm sure everyone is proud of what we have already achieved! Hopefully in the future with a larger player base and more progression in the server, a larger player economy and community will grow. Thanks to everyone for sticking with us and for the support. We really appreciate it. On a side note, here are some recent updates: [li]/home and /sethome commands added to members+[/li] [li]New admin and moderator promoted[/li] [li]Beginner plots temporarily disabled, you can vote in the poll at http://bit.ly/tekkify/ about the future of beginner plots[/li] We're always open to suggestions and feedback, if there's something you feel could be improved, or something you feel would do well if it was added, don't be afraid to tell us. Just post your ideas here.
  23. Re: Tekkify - [Tekkit] [Protections, EE/CC Disabled & More!] Thanks for the support. The beginner plots are more for users who are perhaps new to Tekkit in general. When I started, I hadn't a clue about how to actually get power, it's all personal preference. Thanks for fixing the link as well.
