I've finally got a good enough replacement for plug.dj. It's not perfect, but it's easily the best one I've found now that it's been improved.

Come one, come all, come on and slam.
The system is a bit weird, but it works.
You can queue songs directly into "your queue"
Then you join the DJ queue, and they'll play
You can also make playlists and dump them into your queue

Zootopia was a fun movie. The squirts loved it (Bell even joined in on the howl, in the theater) and there was easily enough adult humor to make it a family show instead of a kids show. Better storyline than the trailers would suggest too. Kinda odd to watch a movie that was better than the trailers.
Now to await the sequels and spinoffs. I can definitely see them doing a Cops themed tv show.
My only gripe is fan reaction. I know it's standard, but I would like to be able to search for cute fanart to shows the little ones without having to wade through the rule34 crap and "headcannon" fanart/fiction that frankly should never have escaped the noggin that spawned it.
Seriously tumblr. When I search for a film name I don't want to see rageposting from someone angry that no one else accepts their headcannon theory that Nick's sexuality is something you need 37 syllables to describe. "You can see it in this aura" is never a valid argument.
And deviantart could use a better search algorithm, seeing as safe searching still turned up an image that can only be described as murderfucking.

So... No Man's Sky.
People at shitting themselves over the $60,- pricetag.
And I'm just sitting here going: "Dudes. It was flaunted by Sony as the PS4's parade horse. What other price did you ever expect it to have, indie dev or not?"

I have two new favorite spams now.
"Human Click!", because nothing says skynet like a piece of software commanding people to perform actions.
"Best lottery expert", who is apparently so rich he has nothing better to do than charge people to give them winning lotto numbers.
Someday I'd like to see their relevance matrix for technic. What kind of audience crossover do they think exists that would make the forums a good candidate for SEO abuse.

Still better than the ideas from my dorm neighbor in college.
Back when LCDs were a pipe dream for general use and CRTs were the norm, he came up with the idea of overriding the display driver and causing the monitor to surreptitiously double or triple exposing bits of the display with extra power. Forcing a permanent ghost image and possibly even burning through the phosphorus and branding the pirate.
It's a good thing displays don't rely on blasting particle beams towards their viewers anymore...

Ack. That's even worse than aggressive DRM. Instead of shutting you out if you don't have the key, it'll let you play, but when you stop, it'll set up a timer. After a day or two it'll nag you about why you won't play this game any more and talk about suicide and other stuff. If you don't play the game again after a month, it'll erase itself but leave a registry key that, cryptically, resembles a suicide note.

1: Lightsabers aren't magic swords powered by the force. They're massless but partially tangible blades of energy with wonky interaction physics, created by a particle stream through an array of special crystals. The reason you rarely see anyone but a force user wielding one is you pretty much need the force precog ability or a lot of luck to make it past the beginner stages without lopping a couple of your own limbs off.
Han used luke's in ESB, and grevious won out against trained jedi in the clone wars cartoon and RotS.
Blade color is determined by the crystals used, not magical alignment reading. The prevailing fan theory is the color is a side effect of the power and focus characteristics chosen when building the saber, with "hot" colors denoting high output with bare minimum focus, while "cool" colors show a blade precisely focused to use minimum energy output to maximum effect. Basically a mirror of the light and dark side mentalities but still a mechanical effect created by the choice of the builder.
2: The saber luke used in RotJ was a newly built saber, not the blue saber given to him by obi wan in a new hope. While presumably lost, the saber likely stayed lodged in the depth of cloud city during the empire's occupation and retrieved later after the death star 2's destruction.
3: Hollywood.
Hah, no spoiler tag needed. And yes, I am a massive nerd. So much so you have no idea.

I'm a bad man...
Playing dwarf fortress, got myself a fortress with a vampire I know about. He's hurt from his epic battle fighting a wereelk and I've got him in the hospital to act as a training dummy for my unskilled doctors.
Because he's been on military station for the past 2 years he's a might bit thirsty. So he keeps trying to make his way to the dormitory where the poor unsuspecting fortressmates are leaving their necks unguarded. But since he's hurt my doctors keep catching him half way there and dragging him back to the hospital area. And I can't stop laughing at the poor bloodsucker.

Eh heh heh I'M SO FUCKING HILARIOUS!
No but seriously my brain is melting, we have a course in circuit analysis and are expected to have 100% of the assignments (1 per week) 100% correct. Because why would you accept anything less than perfection?

Samsung Galaxy J5. Which is just a tiiiiiny bit longer than a Galaxy S5.
Which is absolutely ridiculous.
Collector's edition. Apparently it either didn't sell well in the Netherlands, or we got an inordinate amount of them shipped to us.

It should be back up now.
Unless you have a better idea of what happened, I blame the spambots.

Wow. The bots are desperate tonight; at least 16 pages worth of love specialists.
-
holymage! reacted to Kocken926 in Kitty Jail 2: You Can (not) Escape
What, you got too many of them?
Seriously though, what list are these bots going on? "Defence colony" "Friends colony" "Aerocity". "Yes I'll have one prostitute delivered via a spanish airport shuttle".
When did we go from Ugg boots to call girls, voodoo, and "Love Marriage problems solutions"?
