Just make sure that you CAN'T have just one energy conduit to take input AND output at once. So you'll always need to use atleast 2 conduits.

There could be a few reasons why it doesn't work: 1. The sorting machine doesn't have any power/isn't configured properly. 2. The transposer might be powered with a constant signal. What you really should try is this method which DOESN'T use the nubbish YogsCast design. You have one huge line of pneumatic tubes. No sorting machine required in line. Now you know that Filters and Sorting machines only let items through that are in the filter slot (this only applies to the sorting machine when there is no "random crap" mode enabled.) Then you can just place a chest behind that and at the huge line of pneumatic tubes you have a Restriction tube (not necessary, since it's at the end of the line) where the random crap goes. And the best of all is that this doesn't require any colored tubes or blutricity (does still require it when you use sorting machines instead of filters)!

That could be the case. Only two addons that I know of have a HV power pipe. Transformers (IC2) and AdvancedPowerSystems(BC). The latter hasn't been updated since 1.2.5 I guess. Could you maybe do a bit more testing? Lay out a few colored cables far apart from eachother with a bundled cable in between. Then activate them both at one side of the bundled cable and see if there is a noticable delay. It might be just a bit of lag.

This is what I've come up with several times. First of all, when the reactor is done with it's cycle, let a retriever/filter pump everything out. Then use either another retriever (a sorting machine is better) to pull out the new components in the order that you want the components to be laid out. After the reactor is full (easier to detect), you can turn on the reactor and pump infinite ice in. This ice-feeder stops ofcourse when the reactor's cycle has stopped. Haven't quite worked this out, even though I'm certain this works fine, because I'd rather use AdvancedSolars and APS fusion reactors.

Just do this: punch the (almost) fully grown coffee and hope you get a seed bag. Then scan it three times in the Seed Scanner and see what the GGR is. (Growth, Gain, Ressistance) Now if these numbers are low, you've got a quite bad plant. Just try to crossbreed and get higher stats.
