What do you base this off? You have no clue. You can't have heard anything because if you had heard anything on the matter you would have heard it from us personally, the Technic team. So since you haven't heard anything from us, it means one of two things. Either you are just repeating shit someone made up for no intelligent reason, or you are trolling trying to spread made up rumors and lies. Which is it? I'm not impressed either way. The thing about bukkit is, it's an API. There are other API's. The bukkit devs are no longer respected in general, and they've turned their backs on the community. This isn't anything new. They've refused to support modders who's mods use client side modifications from day one (aka, all the good mods). The forge devs are much closer to the users and showing a lot of promise to fill the role vacated by bukkit. There are multiple projects currently attempting to port bukkits library of plugins to forge. Instead of standing on a soapbox declaring the end of tekkit, you could be doing something actually constructive by helping with those projects. You're saying that Tekkit is "so far behind" what does that even mean exactly? What or who are we behind? Everyone is in the same boat. Anyone who wants to play all the popular mods has to either stick with older versions for bukkit, or push on without bukkit until forge has the same plugings. There isn't any exception. No other modpack providers can magically offer that. Everyone just has to deal with the situation and wait. Once all the plugins are available with forge, Tekkit 4 will drop. It's as simple as that. I really question your intentions when starting this thread. Unlike collybolly you aren't saying that "you heard" these things. You're just saying them. I'm very very unimpressed with you as well. Yes most likely you will need a new world, and we haven't tested with Forestry at all but I can't see why it wouldn't.

There literally can't be an update to classic until one of the forge bukkit conversion projects is finished. Those plugins to control and protect your servers are just not available for anyone using 1.4+. That goes for FTB as well. Tekkit lite is for those who are tired of waiting to play a 1.4 build. If you are a server owner you have only two options. Stick with classic until all those plugins are converted to forge, or update to a 1.4 build and lose them all. If you have a smaller server, there is nothing to think about. Update if you trust all your players. If you have a larger server, ask your players what they would like. Make sure they understand what updating would mean. They may be getting bored, but they probably don't understand how dependent they've become on the backend bukkit plugins. They could start playing with the new mods and really enjoy it until someone griefs all their stuff or steals their materials etc etc. Then they get frustrated because they can't do little things they used to be able to anymore. It's up to you if you think that would happen or not. We're just providing as much option as we can to the end user. It's up to the server operators to decide what to do with the tools we provide. Of course there is a hidden third option. Offer to help with one of the conversion projects. Demanding we update classic is useless. We would absolutely love to.

Not really. The yogbox was at first called the NOW pack (I think) and started on Somethingawful like technic.

My case there is very good as well. Comes with three near silent fans and good cable management.

We aren't responsible for yogbox and never have been. We only hosted the pack for download using our launcher, like Voltz, Voxelbox or Hack/Mine. Pudhux who did the yogbox is no longer doing it.

Cool. Go for that one then. The 670 is nice but too expensive still. I got the Zotac 660 Ti rather then teh EVA because it was on crazy sale during black Friday. 160$ + a copy of Borderlands 2. Sweet deal.

Is it the same card? Link it. If it's not the Ti then it's not the same.

Yeah I splurged on the monitor, and got the mouse cheap. My build is really really solid and probably the sweet spot on value vs money. If you can find it just as cheap get the better EVA version of my video card instead of Zotac. Can't beat the constant zotac sales though. My build isn't geared for overclocking so if you want to do that you'll want to swap out a few of the parts. I can show you which ones to swap for what but only if you're intested in overclocking.

That lappy seems pretty good if you dont want to mess about with building. Another thing to keep in mind. That chart lists x2 cards in the higher ends. Just ignore SLI. Not worth paying for two cards that will just be outclassed by a single card down the line.
