We talked to him in the past and he did not ask for it to be removed in previous versions. He has requested that he would not like it to be in future versions unless we meet his stipulations. Keep in mind, minecraft runs really really poorly on 32 bit java. If you have a 32 bit system like you both do, it's safe to expect slower performance and sometimes sluggish fps or nasty ticks. It may also be the issue with loading it. It's hard to say.

That's the mac fix and he has made it very clear that his operating system is...."pc"... Let's see if you're right and he reports back that it's fixed. I won't mind paying out if you are. You'd probably pick a worthy modder.

You are using internet explorer as your browser I assume. IE is an awful awful browser and one of the many crappy things it does is turn .jars into .zips when downloading them. Try using another browser or renaming the .zip to .jar. From the message at the top were you able to get the .exe working afterall?

To all MAC users, good news! You may have encountered an issue while trying to download Voltz, Technic dev builds, or the new Tekkit Lite Pack. You would either get to a screen that says "Hello" and download would fail, or it would fail instantly sometimes in the case of Lite. After much work looking into the problem we determined it was related to macs and running FML. We were able to come up with a solution and it is now available. FOR EVERYONE USING A MAC. Please back up your saves and texture packs and DELETE YOUR TECHNICLAUNCHER folder. For mac users that folder is located here: Users/"User Name"/Library/Application Support/techniclauncher If you have any other trouble doing this, more information is available in the common problems and solutions threads or other places on the forums. Next you'll want to go to www.technicpack.net and redownload the launcher. DO NOT use the .exe version, it will not work for mac users obviously. If you have deleted your techniclauncher folder, running the newly downloaded .jar will put a fresh folder in its place. CONGRATULATIONS! You are now able to play everything! If you have any further issues, they are with your computer. The community can trouble shoot your computers settings to make sure you have things properly set up on your end such as java. Only if you ask nice and aren't lazy though. Thank you to all mac users who helped solve the issue by posting logs and submitting proper bug reports.

You can now easily add it yourself using the launchers new zip loader. Check the front page for news on that.

No. Reread the OP's post and try to find the silver lining in that mess. Nothing to be proud of there. At all. I am all for people expressing their thoughts here, and we of course don't censor as is our policy. Such is the case of this thread, and I've decided to do it personally, and seriously for once instead of humorously as usual. There is no "nature of the internet" the internet is just a network where people congregate to share porn and cat pictures. It's not the nature of the internet, it's the nature of immature children and adults. You can't blame a tool for it's user being a complete shit crapper. You can't just back peddle because I've stepped in and go "boys will be boys! It's just the way things are!". Nothing that can really be changed? Bullshit. Everyone can just pull their head out of their ass and get informed; conduct themselves intelligently. Put things in greater perspective and keep them there. It's not actually difficult. A lot of people could stand to try it. We'd get a lot more done and have a much stronger community. Maybe even one instead of several.

It's actually loading things while that white screen is up, not freezing or crashing. It can be confusing if it sometimes takes longer to download.

I wouldn't be able to wish for bad things to happen. The first wish for nothing bad to happen would prevent me from doing so! Plus who would get sick of bad things not happening? What is this a 90's cartoon? I'll wish it again so someone else can try. My wish was perfect fools! You wish to be me but then there are two, and there can be only one. We fight to the death and destroy each other. (this of course happens in a different reality where I didn't wish for nothing bad to happen.) I wish for nothing bad to happen!

Me getting bored and the universe imploding are bad things. I wished for nothing bad to happen! Try again! Someone makes you a mod that lets you do that but they get lazy and don't update it when MC updates. I wish for supernatural levels of luck.
