I'd like to note that kool aid man image showed up fine for me. Glad the leeching was taken care of though. Status update? I've mostly finished building the mask so I've applied a layer of resin in prep to add the modeling plaster and sand it. Bought a powersander because I need it for other things as well. No idea if the resin will work or dry or anything so we'll see in the morning. I'd post a pic of my progress but my ipad dropbox has decided it doesn't do that anymore.

They hadn't started the API at all last month. As far as I know they barely have anything done. What you're asking us to do isn't to update technic or tekkit, its to make a new modpack.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I came too as well, and why I'm worried about it getting too heavy. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Ordered those glasses.

It's not too bad but it's dense plastic. I'm going to be applying some plaster like shit to the outside of the whole mask and that will add some weight but I have to. It hardens and then I can sand it. Right now it's a mess of hot glue and box cutter slices. Gotta smooth it out so it's not obvious I've made it out of bits of foamboard. It's mostly building up weight because I have to attach so much to the right side. A big and little light, a big and little tube, an antenna, and now a battery pack most likely. Game designers do not think of this shit.

Because it's getting very "right" heavy. All the junk is more or less on that side. I would stick it inside the respirator on the left side to balance things but then I wouldn't have any way to switch it on and off. I may just have to add counter weight and suck it up. We dress up every year yeah. I usually make a robot costume and she usually has 300 ideas and picks one last min. My idea is to maybe line them with red EL wire but I'm not 100% right now and I could only find green yellow and purple EL wire when I went looking. I don't know where I'd hide the batteries. I'm running out of places to attach things and I don't want the helmet to weigh too much. It's tricky as hell.

Yeah it was a lot of work. The only part of the respirator I used was the outer shell of one of the filters. you an see it on the side there. So far I've spent about three days on it. My girlfriend tonight told me that it looked kinda "downsy" compaired to the real thing and I couldn't just shrug that off so I spent the night completely re-structuring the front. It's a lot closer to concept art image now. I'll post more pics soon.

Progress update. Probably wont be done by Halloween but I'm doing better then I thought I would!

How long will I have to wait for my thread to be approved? The average wait time to have your thread approved/denied is about 2 days, give or take depending on volume. There are usually around 10 new server applications a day on weekdays, and much more on weekends. The backlog has grown as high as 200 servers waiting to be approved before. Please be understanding while waiting. We eventually get to all of them. My post was denied and now it's gone! What the hell?! If you haven't followed the above guidelines exactly, we have to deny it. We don't have time to fix it for you, or write a big list of what you're missing. You have to make sure you get it right the first time if you want to be approved, otherwise you're wasting your time and ours. In rare cases a mod or admin may take pity and post in your thread asking you to fix things. If that happens, quickly make the changes and be very thankful. That mod has sacrificed some of their own time for you instead of denying your thread. If you do not respond within a reasonable amount of time, your thread will be gone.

I sometimes modify the time from "expires in a month" to "expires never". usually I'm adding 12 points in that case.

I saw that but didn't warn because it didn't really seem like signing to me. It was just "my band says thanks" not "-signed, My band" There is a difference.

Stop double posting and bumping your thread. Use the edit button if you need to add anything. This is your final warning. You need to be patient. It will take time to solve your issue, and if you act like this, no one will want to.

You better do something about it then. (That means do a little legwork and try and solve your own issue first before coming here, breaking about three forums rules, and expecting people to be able to solve it for you instantly without ever touching your computer.)

I guess I was young when I played Morrowind too. That game was great. I want to go back to it someday with all the graphic overhaul mods.

Edit: /\ I wanted to do a 4 legged stilts costume this year but because of the move I don't have the time/space/budget. Maybe next year. That's a shame. Would have been pretty great.

I'm not looking forward to the jacket. I've bought a cheap brown leather trench that's too large. Going to try and cut it down and use the spare leather to add the duster shoulder cover and make the collar taller. Working leather is a pain though. No clue if I can do it properly. The benifit of doing a fallout costume though is that no matter what crude hackjob you do it fits the theme! :D
