Read the stickys next time. Uninstall AVG and the launcher, then reinstall the launcher. You can reinstall AVG after if you really want but I wouldn't recommend it (get avast! or MSE, they are free and usually better than AVG)

That is not a bug, it is a useful feature. You need a "premium" (no such thing but that's another matter) to use the packs because when t=you input your username and password, the launcher sends you info to Mojang's servers for authentication.

I think this is an issue for the Tekkit Bug Topic, this is for Launcher bugs (if you can get past the Launcher screen it is a modpack bug)

When you installed SPC did you use the automated installer? To install it correctly you need to do it manually. The reason for this is that instead of adding files to the minecraft.jar the files need to go into the modpack.jar. Also make sure you are using SPC for Minecraft 1.2.5 NOT the newest version.

There is no "lock topic" button for this very reason. Just because you don't feel like talking anymore doesn't mean everyone else is. Only moderators or Admins can lock topics and they don't do that often. Also, use the edit button.

Don't blame Mojang, almost 100% of the time it is your fault. My account is fine and no one else has been complaining about it, so it must just be you.

Pro Tip: Don't start trying to make people feel bad on the internet by saying shit like "my family is poor" and "I only have an hour of free time a day" because there will always be someone else who has it worse off (or can just pretend they have it worse off) than you. If your account really got hacked, that's too bad, but I fail to see how it relates to the developers of this modpack. Like Cheap Shot (one of the developers) said, its not his or anyone else's issue to fix your account.

I agree. I am fully aware that there is likely a crack. You seem to be unaware that it is against the rules to discuss the matter. In addition a developer has already posted telling you that it's not going to happen, AND you have a warning...

There is no "crack" Techinc is the SSP version of the pack. You still need a valid login to use it. Also there is an offline mode, but it requires you to have used the launcher once, to use it just disable your internet.

I doubt if migration would matter with regards to transaction ID. There would be a record of both the transaction and the migration...

So because your account was "hacked" you expect the dev team to build a whole new launcher specially for the people with "hacked accounts" that would only allow you to play single player Tekkit. This is so weird and backwards that I don't even know what to say.

This part makes no sense. How do you expect to play Tekkit with outdownloading any mods. In addition there is an "offline" version of Tekkit. It is called Technic and is built for SMP. Also Why do you hate me :(

Hmmm... tepidpond, since you are more experienced in this than me, would it be theoretically possible to write a script that tells Minecraft to use the downgraded version of Java allowing you to keep both versions?

Only if you don't know what caused them... OP: What likely happened was that when you updated the pack, something was likely interfering with the download (could have been your AV, firewall or what have you) and you got a corrupted download. By deleting and reinstalling, you allowed the files to correctly download and give you a complete launcher and modpack. As for whether this will happen every time, I doubt it.
