This is perilously close to asking for a release date, but you should be okay. As for your question, in order for Tekkit to be updated to 1.3.1, every single mod and all of their dependencies will need to be updated. Then a testing period will be required, then bugs will be fixed, etc. So no you are fine to set up a server for Tekkit now as it will be a long time before Tekkit for 1.3.1 is out.

Guys I just tried using arctichenry's username and the password as ALLDEAD and it didn't work... I guess the second option (I am an idiot please ban me) was what the OP was actually saying Here I thought I had stumbled onto a conspiracy... Unless...arctichenry is covering for the real hacker! I think it is a secret message... If you read only the CAPS it says "PASSWORD ALL DEAD"!!! I think he is telling us that the hackers password is "ALLDEAD"! He could however just besaying "I am an idiot, please ban me." That seems the most likely answer

When I said I chuckled at the MalwareBytes, I meant because of the humour not the program itself. Can you actually use the launcher? What happens if you try to play?

S/He could almost (note I said ALMOST) get away with it because s/he is responding to different posts, s/he should still use edit though.

Since you obviously didn't search the forums so I will point you in the right direction... Technic/Tekkit runs on Minecraft 1.2.5 because that is the highest version the mods in the pack are updated for. The mod select button is greyed out in Technic because of an issue with Forge, you need to manually remove the mods from your folder To repopulate your .technicpack folder, delete it and redownload the launcher Also why is this VERY urgent? Has your brother been kidnapped and held ransom until you give the kidnappers 200 diamonds? Also, also, are you using TWO anti-viruses????? EDIT: Just looked up MalwareBytes Anti-Malware...I am ashamed to say that their site made me chuckle

Why should Mojang care? Why would they risk their "relationship" with Curse for such a small segment of the community. I dislike it as much as you, but the best way to deal with it is to keep a level head and ignore the misinformed kids and trolls. That chat-log posted earlier in the thread was a great example of how these two communities should interact. (On a side note nice job Cheepshot you are a credit to the pack and this community) Everyone also needs to stop thinking of it as a battle between us and them. The Us vs. Them philosophy will only lead to more animosity and hate in both groups. EDIT: GreenWolf13, the lack of interaction between Mojang and the community is startling when you think about it. It is supposed to be this open community where players can interact with the devs and help shape the game, however there is absolutely no interaction on the forums from anyone at Mojang.

I don't think Treecapitator is made for SMP, you probably need a Bukkit plugin or some such ( I don't know for sure as I have little to no experience with servers)

Honestly, this guy likely saw some YouTube comment about how "Technic scuks" (sic) and then just misread/misinterpreted a handful of biased posts on YouTube or MCForums and then decided to vent his anger. It makes me laugh how gullible and impressionable people are. They see something on a website that look semi-credible and go off preaching about something they had never heard of until 20 minutes ago.
