  1. ...Haha Nice work guys
  2. Yes, you are correct, you are clueless.
  3. I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”! If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher. Dude, this is probably (at least) the 30th time I have posted this solution. Learn to use the search bar.
  4. Its a secret. So secret that he tried to write the name of it and it blocked that...
  5. Yep this. Just because it used to work doesn't mean anything. The only thing that causes the Update failed issue is something blocking communication over the internet (aka Firewalls or AV)
  6. 4. Its not even the right log...
  7. Unless it is a stationary airship like the one in that video.
  8. To use the exe you don't need to understand the concept of Java home. You just double click the exe. If that doesn't work, just double click the .jar. Having an exe launch the file for you give no additional benefits. EDIT: Also your links have been changed because you broke the rules. Take that as a hint...
  9. Then you are giving it too much. If you give it too little it will crash, but if you give it more than you have it will crash. You need to figure out how much RAM you have and make sure to not allocate more than that. If you have a similar problem, post your own report.
  10. I already mentioned the supplies part but good point. OP make sure you build it with airship materials and not housing materials (unless it is a housing airship) or nuclear reactor materials (unless it is a nuclear reactor airship)
  11. Not the place for this. Go to the Yogscast website and tell them.
  12. Good point, ya you will need the supplies that are required. From there follow Valkon's advice,
  13. Clearly Valkon is losing his touch. its the tekkit video silly
  14. Well, your Java is not being recognized as 64 bit. Do you have more than one Java version? If so delete it and download Java 7u7 from Oracle. (If that doesn't work, allocate more RAM in the Launcher under options.
  15. Better description? We need a log, the bit version of your Java and OS. Did you try disabling Norton and Windows firewall (and anything else) and then re downloading?
  16. I like the last bit: Don't worry about viruses guys I just packed it with this so its fine! Trust me, its on the internet it must be true!
  17. Good for you. I can guarantee that, while your problem may be similar, you have different setups, files, etc. so just saying I have the same problem is not helpful. If you fix a similar problem, post it on bug reports with similar issues.
  18. Are there other files in your folder now?
  19. There is an entire section devoted to this... (And this is not it) Try browsing over there. http://forums.technicpack.net/#tekkit-servers.25
  20. ...There is already an exe that runs the jar. It is exactly what you have described.
  21. Thanks. It looks interesting. When you say you watched it twice what did you mean Xylord? You watched all the episodes twice?
  22. The wiki is probably your best bet for now. Some of the info is outdated but most of it is correct.
  23. Can you watch it online?
  24. Thanks for clarifying.
  25. Actually, they don't have consent but they don't need it as they don't distribute the Minecraft.jar file. The launcher communicates with Mojang servers (the same way Minecraft does) and downloads the info from there (just like normal Minecraft). They don't give you the file, Mojang does. The modpack is, Minecraft is not. As for your initial question, AFAIK you cannot configure the launcher to download more mods and then give it to someone. You can add mods your self but there is no way to get the launcher to save these added mods and send it to someone. As for the legal argument, I would advise you stay away from that. Bottom line is don't distribute the minecraft.jar file.
