Did you try doing what Dark suggested? EDIT: Hold up, try using the latest APPLE Java available (Version 6) and see if that works.

If you go into your preferences there is an option to turn off e-mails and to stop automatically watching threads you reply to. Unfortunately if you uncheck the auto watch it stops automatically watching threads that you create.

Can you give us more info? What bit is your Java/OS? Have you tried uninstalling, disabling Norton and reinstalling? If that fails, have you tried downloading the .jar version of the launcher and using that? Without a log I can't help much more than those basic troubleshooting tips.

Just saying "Ya me too" does nothing but add extra, unneeded length to the report, making it harder for people with similar problems to find the solution. All we ask is that people follow the rules and make their own reports, but sometime we get "annoying twats saying we are causing problems". As for the quotation, the word but was added instead of the rest of your post. The ending part of your post was essentially a long winded way of saying that your problem is different. We need to know the bit version of your OS, figure it out We need to know the bit version of your Java, figure that out We need to know the update version of your Java, geuss what, figure it out We need to know what you have tried/read (hint read the stickys) We need to have a better description of the issue We need your logs The answer is likely found in the COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS sticky in these forums. Read it and it will tell you what you need to do (hint it has something to do with your AV)
