No Macs are no harder to get Viruses on than PC's there are too few people using Macs that most people don't bother and instead target PC's due to the idea that they are more commonly used for business and thus are higher value targets than your home computer. That is a different discussion though. Have you gotten it to work?

JRE JDK is for programming. Try to use the edit button instead of double posting please.

So just go into your Start menu From there click Control Panel Under Programs click Uninstall a program Find Java and highlight and uninstall those.

I noticed one or two other people having this issue. Since I have seen it a few times, I think I will try to isolate the common factors. Would you be able to post your Java version, OS, AVs and anything else like that? That way I can try to figure out what is causing the issue. P.S. Not that it is an consolation but mine works fine so there should be a way to get it working on your system :)

Try running the file as an administrator. If that doesn't work, turn off Norton and redownload the pack.

If you are trying to uninstall it, just find it in the programs list. (This should also tell you the version you have) I don't know where the actual Java folder is saved by default. EDIT: What do you mean you don't see preferences? What are you trying to do?

There is Java 7u9 now. I thought the same thing.

On macs I am pretty sure the latest Java version IS version 6. I could be mistaken though.

Try using the latest APPLE Java (IIRC it is version 6) and see if that helps.

Sigh, i am ashamed to say I laughed really hard at that...

When I was taking pics I noticed a creeper hole that looked to have destroyed one of the power flowers. Looks like someone forgot to say something and the things despawned.

Really glad you figured it out (I would have never thought of doing what you did ) Have fun! Then post your own bug report. Coming in here saying "Me too" is useless. Especially because the issue has already been resolved.
