Changing EMC values in Equivalent Exchange?
saintnicster replied to Infectedd's topic in Mod Makers Market

Why not give idiots what they apparently need?

While I'm at it, I checked the EE thread and found this http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1106178-125-equivalent-exchange-2-v1467/page__st__1160#entry14232698 Also did a quick "Pahimar technic" google search and found this chat transcript (assuming it is valid) http://pastebin.com/3NY6uHzZ and his Technic Forums profile which linked to his only post http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/modified-class-files-for-ee-trans-table-configurable-transmutation-table.7534/#post-61331 It mentions giving permission to technic, as long as there aren't any changes. The one downside I can see is that depending on the mod author, Technic's copy of the mods can get out of date pretty quickly. They'll see tons of bug reports saying "OMG WHY IS THIS BROKE" when it was fixed several patches/releases ago on that individual mod (uranium's really high EMC value comes immediately to mind). -

From the ComputerCraft forum post LICENSE I authorise and encourage people to create and distribute lua programs for ComputerCraft however they see fit (try the forums at computercraft.info!). I also give permission for ComputerCraft to be included in mod packs, provided that the ComputerCraft files are included completely unmodified, including all lua and text files. -
Yep, just decoration for now. If you break it, it becomes basalt cobblestone, when can be smelted back into smooth Basalt . Basalt stone can then be crafted into basalt bricks.

Except that it has EVERYTHING to do with minecraft.net. There have been a bunch of issues with Minecraft's various webservices the last few days. http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/xyy63/sorry_for_the_poor_uptime_lately/

When will there be 1.3.1?
saintnicster replied to LethalTortoise's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Actually, you're actually prompted to read them anytime you go to the first page of the forums. At the top of the list, there's a forum section called "Mandatory Reading." That contains a single board called "Global Rules." Inside that, you have a single post called "BOARD RULES AND GUIDELINES". -
Did you bother trying to connect with a normal minecraft client?
-
You may only use it if you start (and continue to) use proper grammar and capitalization. Once you stop, your use of the Tekkit trademark will be revoked by the full armed forces of the USPTO. NOTE - I am not affiliated with Technic or Tekkit, so I my answer should be sent directly to /dev/null.

http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html Copyright does not cover the name of something. A name (if protection is desired) can be trademarked, but this isn't always the case.

Duncan appears to really know his stuff with buildcraft and IC2, but his knowledge with EE is still has some room to grow. Don't really know on the Redpower2 stuff, as he has really just started that stuff.

It's called Mad Libs. Now get off my damn lawn

That's fine. It just means the engine is warming up. The "warmer" it is, the faster the strokes/pulses are. I believe that the engine will blink between orange and red when it is at the optimal/max temperature for the redstone engines.

1.) Yes, you'll have two waterproof lines going into each engine. They are smart enough, however, that you don't need to worry about what side to put things into. 2.) Yep, they can be split. Be aware that generally, one pump with four redstone engines can reliably only cool 3 combustion engines. It's better to separate these lines. 3.) Yes, it is fine. Only thing that really matters is the capacity of the line. I would stick with golden waterproof pipes for maximum effect. 4.) Yes. The recipe should be an item teleport pipe with waterproofing. 5) Redstone engines will not explode as long as they have something to pump the energy into. This includes a wooden pipe, or the pump itself.

So, ThaumCraft and IC2 are incompatible with the latest forge?
saintnicster replied to LazDude2012's topic in Cafe Lame
Mod List Loaded up DW's latest save and noticed a couple of things * AdditionalBuildcraftObjects is derping a call to a non-public Modloader method (Modloader.setupProperties). This happens on game load, but is just skipped over. * Getting a couple of non-fatal NullPointerExceptions when loading Dire's overworld. All the pipes look to be there correctly, so I'm not sure what else could be going on. * DoggyTalents is calling a new Exception().printStackTrace() in its "setWolfAngry" method. No clue why it would do that, as the code appears ok (viewed through JD-GUI) -

When I get home, I'll send my mod list details. I mainly use direwolf20's config pack instead of directly using technic (these days) -

I'm running all three of these with (I think) Build 152. What exactly isn't working? -
[SOLVED] Power Teleport Pipes Not Working Whatsoever
saintnicster replied to tombatch's question in Tekkit Classic
Are either (or both) of the power pipes set so that "Can Receive" equals True? That's why I asked about the GUI screen shots. They can still "see" each other without it, but you need to tell the teleport pipes which way the electricity can flow. Another thought, you are connecting the Solar arrays directly to the energy link? No MFE/MFSU? Why no buffer in between? -

should Direwolf20's Minecraft LP Modpack be in the launcher....
saintnicster replied to minelord's question in Technic Launcher
And if you've paid _any_ attention to his series, you'd know that he is mostly against modpacks, especially ones that are as, err, "loose" with permissions as technic tends to be. *ducks* Installation instructions - Follow his video. Notes Be sure to add the SparrowApi into the jar folder. This was added after the videos came out. Do not initially install the 3 or 4 mods that were added later in the series. Which are these, you ask? Fully read his thread. They are spelled out in the Mod Updates/Additions spoiler section [*]Once you have the "base" install working, then install the others. INSTALL ONE AT A TIME! IMPORTANT!!!!! Start the game/enter the test world between each of the mods. This will generate the config file. Verify that the block ID in the config matches the one that direwolf shows in his thread For the Nuclear Control mod that was just added, you will need to start minecraft and let it crash. Then, go into the config file and manually update to the new number. [*]If this is too much work for you, then wait until the next world download. As of today (6/21), it'll probably be on 6/22 or 6/23). Direwolf has almost always included the current configuration when he downloads the world
