  1. I don't really see how it is a punishment, but whatever I went in and manually deleted the lastlogin, but it is still only showing the username instead of the email. I'm setting up eclipse to see if I can debug the launcher's code, but my first guess is that it is here where things are going awry.
  2. But not when you click "single player" with tekkit. I've got a few test worlds setup for machine layouts and the like.
  3. My gut feeling says to double check in the "Options" button on the launcher and to make sure that you're using the 2.1.1 client of Tekkit instead of the 3.0. My migrated account seems to work and allows me to connect to servers as long as I remember to change it from my username to the email address.
  4. O.o You haven't heard of Columbine? Are you 12 years old?
  5. Heh, totally a freudian slip. Wish I could take credit for it ;)
  6. From this image, it would appear that you are right. It's stupid for them to rename a linux distro, but you're right. However, you need to understand that we ask for this information because it provides us a base-line on troubleshooting; somewhere to start at. Possible issues - What plugins have you guys (or mossycobble) added to the server? It's likely that there could be a conflict there. Was there anything that was added recently? If it was working fine for two weeks, as you say, then what changed? Plugin update, new mod? Rogue client mod? A thought - Are those actually ores that can be harvested? I remember a glitch a while back on a bukkit server where the mods had installed an anti-xray plugin that scrambled the textures on most everything underground. Caused some weird images. Also a note, but if there's one thing that going to MineCon taught me, it is that the Minecraft community is huge and extremely diverse. Just because you're a fan of something or use a specific tool doesn't mean a thing. We're all just a drop in the bukkit, groups of vocal minorities. Doing a search on these forums reveal 5-10 posts containing "mossy cobble," and fewer referring to anything technical. It's possible that not many people who use tekkit have that service. I know that I hadn't heard about it before I googled trying to figure out what it was.
  7. It might be [buildcraft] with the brackets, but just go ahead and make the user an op "/op [buildcraft]" from the in-game chat line, or "op [buildcraft]" from the server console
  8. You need to give the fakeuser Buildcraft permission to build/dig/whatever. The quarry doesn't use your rank/permissions. Easiest way to try is to make Buildcraft an op.
  9. Is the quarry in your spawn area? Spawn is write-protected, unless you are an admin. Do you have any permissions plugins on the server? The fakeuser Buildcraft needs permissions to build for the quarry to work. Is there the orange construction frame, or do you just see the yellow & black frame/tape?
  10. It was a double post, though. Isn't that at least worth a keller, if not a probation? >.>
  11. MultiMC is a nice little tool, but it feels like the developer was iterating over new versions of the program a bit too quickly for the size of the userbase that he has and is building. If you're running the Windows client, you're mostly ok; a few bugs, but most of the functionality is there. If you're OS X or Linux, you're less lucky. The built-in auto-update doesn't work yet, but you're still prompted for it with a silent failure on start. Screen panels are missing because they haven't been implemented in GTK+, yet. Instances are saved inside the App bundle if you're running on OS X, so when you manually update, you have to dig in the package and manually copy the files. It should be in more of a focused/closed beta for OS X and Linux, instead of the fully open project that he got going right now. Lots of confused/new users coming in after the Direwolf20 spotlight that are likely to just drop the program because "it doesn't work right"
  12. Re: Is there a version of the technic launcher that.....(doesn't ask him to log in) There are plenty of pictures of me available online. I'm just too lazy to set an avatar everywhere I go.
  13. They may have been talking about this - http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/s0pqt/i_am_nathan_adams_aka_dinnerbone_developer_of/c4a6eo7
  14. As an FYI, Direwolf20 just started his Season 4 LP. Mod Installation (normal route) Mod Installation using MultiMC - great tool, btw. Highly beta if you don't run the Windows client, though. Season 4, Episode 1
  15. Click the link I gave in the first "edit"
  16. Probably matmos. F7 to disable, or you can hold the f7 button and move the mouse down to decrease the volume.
  17. Yep, I got the same. Looking in the redpower config, it uses 125 in the netgui, too. Rather than taking the time to find the next available screen, I took the "nuke it" approach and just removed railcraft from my (personal) server and client.
  18. Re: Is there a version of the technic launcher that..... Beer has never lead me astray. It's always been the liquor shots afterwards that have done that... :(
  19. Make sure you have "Tekkit" selected on the launcher's main screen.
  20. This should help you out. There's apparently some conflict in Railcraft with the GUI used for the Adv Wooden Transport Pipe EDIT: derp, was fixing the below quotes that I forgot the link... http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,3869.msg30850.html#msg30850 As for the logs, and if you don't know how to get to the .techniclauncher folder, EDIT #2 Hmm, Looking at this on my machine, if you change that gui ID to 125, then clicking on a RedPower2 sorter crashes to whitescreen
  21. The latest update for the EnderChest mod added support for "backpacks" that can be tied to a set/series of ender chests. A mod highlight is here Not quite the same thing, but it's something to look at since EnderChests is already part of the pack
  22. Re: Wooden conductive pipes not working Just saw this. Both sides have to be set to "can receive." It's a little bit backwards, but there isn't a way to distinguish a "sender" and a "receiver" buildcraft pipe. The power can technically flow both ways.
  23. Re: Wooden conductive pipes not working Just tried in a test world of mine, connecting to MFSUs. Both the electric engine and energy links worked. I didn't try with teleport pipes. A couple of notes/thoughts - [*] Refineries (as shown in the example) require oil in the tanks before they will light up with power. [*] Electric Engines do require a redstone signal to actually produce power. I initially forgot about this, so I figured I'd bring it up here, too. [*] It looks like the quarry does work as fast from a bat box as from an MFE. You're probably better off having a step-down charging system with an MV and and LV transformer so you aren't wasting as much power. Something like a mining well will be a lot faster from a MFE, but not the quarry [*] I agree with pringleman. the "can receive" flag has bit me more times than I care to remember
