Windows vista eventually had a patch which allowed you to "turn off" aero, but it was almost completely useless. As usual, windows is awful at estimating requirements. 1.5-2 gigs is about right for vista, but 7 can operate reasonably on 1 - 1.5

Actually windows 7 tends to use less ram from what i've seen. Also, win7 made aero toglleable, so you can disable it to vastly improve performance on low end computers. XP is still faster for low end machines, but between homegroups and the new navigation layout, i've been much happier with win7 than i was with XP.

I wasn't a fan of 12. it seemed ill balanced, swinging wildly between "devoid of challenge" and "damn near impossible" in a drunken waltz. FFX is still one of my favorites, primarily because the storyline was fantastic. I play the FFVII PC version occasionally. Only when i hear about an update to the upgrade mod for it (people have been adding in better sprites and replacing the awful midi music for years now.)

really? maybe it's only certain versions of norton. We've at least a hundred users report that their upodate problem was solved by uninstalling norton. Also, it's just not that great an AV.

Loved that game 3 times. The problem was a lack of available advancement after a certain point. The best weapons in the game were too easy to get, and you could get any desirable feats maxed out ridiculously fast. Great while it lasted though.

Digital devil saga is also supposed to be awesome. I wouldn't know because i can never find a single goddamn copy.

You want evidence? go on some of the servers in the deluxe board, they're having no troubles. Finally, the reason for which nothing would ever get fixed is if the dev team stopped to listen to every two bit keller who decided he had the ultimate solution to make the pack more bettur.

Uninstall norton, it fucks with the launcher. update your video card drivers read the rules. 3 day ban for posting a bug report without the report format.

Oh shit son, you're missing out on an important piece of gamer history! Diablo 2 is one of the games that has had the longest lifespan. It's still relatively popular. That game will carry my recommendation indefinitely.

I just have to say that in my experience windows gets a bad rap. I've been a multi-OS user for many years. (my music forces me to use mac, but my gaming forces me to use windows) and i actually had my first big-deal, i-cant-fix-this crash today. Almost all of the terrible things i hear about windows really amounts to users refusing to learn how to use their goddamn product.

Misuse of the report function is listed as a serious infraction. Do you know what time it is? That's right, it's time to get bent.

Last time i saw screenshots for D3, i was unenthused. Is it looking any better now? I loved D2 and still play whenever i can get my friends in on it, but the consensus from all of us is that D3 doesn't really look like what we think of as Diablo.

Just started playing Aion: Ascension last night. A little grindy but it's beautiful. Also, playing Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. On my PC. (another new-computer-christmas-moment)
