I don't know if you noticed, but this last weekend? it was fucking easter weekend. I was out having a life outside of fixing everyone's virtual problems on the internet. additionally, I have nothing really to tell you other than I am now super motivated to not think about your problem at all in my spare time.

Need help Doing stuff for my server
freakachu replied to Aldaz108's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
for crying out loud, if you can't use google to find the answers to this kind of stuff then what are you doing trying to run a complex set of plugins on top of a complicated server? hell, you can't even figure out an obvious permission problem with the base pack. -
the tekkit devs don't have any responsibility to balance PvP at all for a few reasons. 1) PvP in minecraft is an afterthought at best 2) doing so would require a lot more work and mucking about than you might think 3) they don't owe us anything, even an updated version of the pack 4) there are plenty of ways to control what is and isn't usable on a server via plugins. if you want PvP but don't like how it is with the interactions between mods, it's not their job to fix it for you; it's your job.

Tekkit server ERROR : Advanced Machines
freakachu replied to NeonXXs's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
hey, guy! did you know we have a section just for bugs and errors and such? did you know that section has a sticky with a proper fix for this issue that doesn't involve deleting the mod straight up? it's true! -
this is so far from the right place to post this I can't even tell you. mostly because the right place to post this is nowhere.
-
I'm not so sure you need to reinstall the whole OS (though if you want to spend the time, hey be my guest), just reinstalling the server should be fine.
-
you can't allocate more than 1.5gigs to a program in a 32bit environment. if you're trying for more, you'll have problems. you can select the amount of memory to use in the options menu on the launcher. since you didn't specify what exactly was 4gigs I'm going to assume that's your max available and not what you're allocating right now.
-
removing server mods won't change the mods clients have. those last two lines do sound about right for being finished booting as well. it just seems like it's having a fit with people joining. normally the list of mods displays twice, but in your log it's 3 times and it ends in a $ way before it should each time. I guess try a clean reinstall of the server. back up your world if you like, of course. though try it with a whole new one first to see if it explodes
-
I figured it had something to do with the thousands of spout errors in there. glad it's working for you now.
-
what do you mean "use" an IC2 machine? craft it? place it? right click on it? btw, you have a LOT of errors in that log. might want to clear up some disk space and look into the whole blockplace event thing there.
-
wait for it to stop spamming the console with info. usually this is marked by a line stating how long it took to boot up. the reason I ask about the vanilla client is that in that log, a person is connecting with a much sorter string of mods than what a tekkit client would have.

"Took to long to log in" on my own server
freakachu replied to jumpsplat120's question in Tekkit Classic
it may well be. I do see that it's getting 504 errors from session.minecraft.net which seems to be the holdup. -
"Took to long to log in" on my own server
freakachu replied to jumpsplat120's question in Tekkit Classic
I have no idea what you did either, but it's nice that it did. -
not without more information, we don't. allocating more memory may actually make it worse depending on your system. is your OS 32 or 64 bit? how much ram do you have total? how much are you allocating right now to minecraft?

"Took to long to log in" on my own server
freakachu replied to jumpsplat120's question in Tekkit Classic
does the server console print out anything about you joining when you attempt to? -
moving to the tekkit board, where this belongs. also, you could have an item spill or something going on. if chunks with pipes get unloaded and a lot of items would normally flow through those pipes it tends to break and spill the items everywhere. after a while you get so many that it lags the crap out of everything. there's a worldedit command you can use to clear them, but off the top of my head I can't remember it and you have to be in the general vicinity of the spill for it to work.

in that case it is an ISP issue, most likely. assuming of course that the proxy was hosted somewhere else beside either of you two's houses. I'd tell the OP the call his ISP but chances are they'd be no help whatsoever with a problem like this. you're probably going to have to wait for the ISP to get their crap together and use the proxy or something like it until then.
-
hmm if you have it just like that, then your wooden pipes are at the bottom anyhow. make sure they are all powered by an engine of some kind, even redstone works. edit: just watched some more of the video. his setup is flawed. tanks will not auto balance by putting normal pipes between them. if you look, the pipes aren't even connecting to the tanks.

Help minecraft crashing after i connect to a server
freakachu replied to aaronhance's question in Tekkit Classic
I know what java you're using because you were good enough to say so in your OP, that's why I suggested updating. -
you're not even running tekkit, technic, or any other modpack in the launcher. hell you aren't even using the launcher in the first place. this is not how the launcher works. when you have a problem with tekkit, come on back.

Help minecraft crashing after i connect to a server
freakachu replied to aaronhance's question in Tekkit Classic
is "use latest LWJGL binaries" checked? if so, uncheck it. if not, try checking it. if that fails, update java to java 7 and try that. also, please don't make me hate myself for complimenting you on not double posting by proceeding to triple post right after I did so. -
no log and wrong board? check and check! give us an error log to be able to know what is happening. by the sounds of it, you hooked a teleport pipe directly up to something other than a pipe. doing that tends to cause problems. edit: fixed.

Hi, I help moderate the forums, and you should really be less of an idiot. for your information, if a person can connect to other servers, nothing client side is blocking his connections in a general sense. it's either you, or he has blocked your IP and only your IP on his end which would be impressive. however, instead of just ban you, if you want to provide some details of your setup I might just try and help you despite your deserving every inch of a ban. how are you hosting this thing? what's your OS? what's your IQ? shoe size? what's your network setup like? using a router? hamachi?
