Here's another option you could try: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1400400-portable-minecraft-manager-multiple-installs-custom-memory-jportable-portableapps-compatible/ It allows you to add as many Minecraft installs as you want, supports Technic, and works with jPortable.

I've got a feeling it all comes down to the way you placed the covers on the top half of the bottom wall layer, instead of the bottom half of layer two (hope you understood that). This gives the pigmen a perfectly stable platform to spawn on.

Screenshots would be perfect, preferably with the default texture pack to make it easier to recognise blocks.

Not exactly sure what multiverse is, but there wouldn't be any problems with copying over buildings from a vanilla world. You could do it ingame via Worldedit schematics or something similar, or just use a map editor like MCedit. -

If you mean on a server, it's possible to disable certain items, but otherwise, probably not without editing the mod itself.

The code he had in there did something weird to the world, but I think still allowed the client to load okay. Anyways, that bit of code was disabled in the latest update as of now.

Ah, thanks for that. I just needed a way of keeping the nether pump+cell factory active while I was in the overworld.

If you're okay with not having a few of the Technic mod features, wouldn't it be possible to just alter the Technic ids to match the Tekkit ones? There really isn't a huge amount of difference between Technic and Tekkit, though I'm not sure how nicely Thaumcraft aura and taint will work out.

Of course, if you're trying to open up an obelisk, you could do what I do and spam crystals until it works :D

How about a large-scale lava cell producing factory, based in the Nether, movable via frames so once you use up the lava in one area, you can go drain another. The Railcraft idea also sounds good, how about adding stations with automated ticket collection? Also, would it happen to be possible to force-load a world in multiplayer, i.e not by having a player in it.
