  1. Good luck, I hope you pull it off. I don't have the patience or time to commit to a project like this.

    Can't open

Have you tried deleting the EXE and redownloading it?
  3. Support staff would've told you the same things, except they are now paid to help out customers. If you don't listen to them, they'll put their response in an email and continue helping those that actually listen. Good luck breeding bees, if your listening skills are as craps as I'm lead to believe, you're gonna be back in no time with a hive shoved up your ass.
  4. When faced with the option of building a new system, why the hell would anyone build a mac? Eurgh, I feel dirty just uttering those words.
  5. In the week-ish I've been a member of these boards I've had two very helpful replies which in both cases solved my problem. This can mean one of two things: The way you present yourself doesn't warrant the time of day for a suitable response, or you're not listening to what people are telling you. Given your Helen status, my money's on the former.
  6. Suits my personality perfectly ;)
  7. 2+2=4. Also... This. Top link. Start there.
  8. What about your system is 32bit? It's purely a software thing, if you really want to play tekkit then there's nothing stopping you. You might be required to reinstall Windows though. Alternatively, and this might sound complicated but it's actually a fun project - Google "ubuntu usb" and create a fully bootable Ubuntu (which is a Linux "distro" or version) and run Tekkit from that. There is a guide to running Tekkit both in Linux and from a usb drive on these boards, so have a look around. I'm not sure about your posting issues, but don't be discouraged, with a bit of imagination and determination you'll get there. Good luck :)
  9. No. I had single ply toilet roll too, can you imagine? On a more serious note, I'm just cranky due to some rather bad news. Apologies.
  10. Never mind. Good luck with your footage and thanks for sharing it.
  11. Great start there zippy. Promoting and namecalling on your first date. You must be a riot at parties.
  12. I'm curious as to your motives. Is this simply a challenge? Does your financial situation not permit a new pc? Are you married to my ex? Seems like way too much effort if you've got other options.
  13. I do not like. I do not favourite, I do not subscribe. You are nothing more than a beggar. Earn your rep the old fashioned way.
  14. And I thought I was stupid. Do you also go to the cops and ask them how to smoke crack?
  15. The Yogscast guys are great when looking for inspiration. It all depends what you want from the game. Equivalent exchange, railcraft and industrialcraft are three completely different approaches to things. Personally, I've only been playing this for about a fortnight and I'm doing a bit of each all at the same time. It's great fun and the possibilities are endless. I also run a small server for a small community which has everything enabled and the only rule is don't steal or ruin other people's work. The community is less than 10 people but we all get along great and there's no conflicts of interests, in fact we help each other loads and we consider ourselves a team. If you'd like to check it out, let me know and I'll hook you up.
  16. I've got a quarry to work wirelessly, finally. The setup is as follows: 10x Solar Array, connected by glass fibre cable ----> MFE ---> Energy Link ---> conductive copper pipe ----> energy teleport pipe. On the other end, it's: Energy teleport pipe ----> conductive copper pipe ----> quarry. Now previously, the setup was as follows: 6x Solar Arrays, connected by glass fibre cable ----> MFE ----> Glass fibre cable ----> Energy Link ----> Quarry. Now the difference between the two is huge, I could leave the old setup alone and it whould accumulate enough energy during the day to power the quarry at night. However, even with 10 arrays, the energy declines rapidly to the point of not being enough to power the quarry at night. Am I missing something? Why is my energy consumption with this setup so much more? If anyone's got any tips, I'd appreciate it!
  17. That makes perfect sense, thanks a ton for helping me clear that up!
  18. Nope, the MFE is permanently at 100%. I should also point out that there are two people messing around with this at the same time, I don't know if that could affect it. We also discovered that by removing the Redstone torches that are powering the pipe, and putting them back again,we get another 5 minutes work out of it before it quit again. I was thinking it'd be a Redstone signal that's messing with things, but surely the quarry would stop working much sooner, and not dig a few more layers? I don't know, this is driving me nuts.
  19. I've got a quarry that's dug to bedrock numerous times before. It's powered by a set of solar arrays and an MFE, and I've just relocated the lot to dig again. The quarry did about 10 layers and quit, so I moved it and tried again. Same problem. Does anyone know why this happens? The quarry has been successful before, and has shown a bit of success in its current location, but after a few layers it quits. Can anyone shed some light on this?
  20. Alright, thanks for that guys. Typical me... silly things. While we're on the topic, I've stumbled across another problem which is frustrating me. I've got a chest which receives any ore that comes in from my quarry, and I'd like to send that ore to macerators, followed by some electric furnaces. I've tried using an advanced copper pipe, but this goes way too fast and it generally makes a mess. Is there a way to slow the process down? As always, help is appreciated! Cheers folks, David
  21. Alright thanks guys, I'm looking into my options at the moment. Another issue I'm having is that when I use an advanced wooden pipe to sort things from my quarry, I use one to feed a basic generator with coal. The problem is that the coal always ends up in the top box, so it just sits there. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to get it into the bottom hole by default? Also... is the energy condenser compatible with this system? I've set it up to receive stone, gravel and dirt, with a coal in the top slot. However, the advanced wooden pipe connected to it, which runs to the same generator, keeps sucking out the coal in the top. Is there a way around this too? Thanks folks, any help is always appreciated!
  22. Hello everyone! I'm still fairly new to Tekkit and the magic it holds within. I have just set up a configuration of 8 solar arrays which feed into a building below, and into an MFE unit. From the MFE, it runs to a quarry outside. This is all connected using glassfibre cable. As it is now, the only way I can store up energy is to remove a part of the cable. I was wondering if there's a way to disable the output on the MFE? I've tried sticking a lever in the cable run, didn't work. I read on some Wikis that it needs a restone signal to disable it, but this doesn't seem to work either. I was up to the point of having a redstone torch right up next to the MFE, and still no luck. Can anyone offer any advice on this? Is it possible to turn the MFE off, or shall I place a switch in the glassfibre? If that's the only option, what switch would I need? Thanks for reading!
