I'm back, and I'm alive. I'll update this post with details and such as soon as I get the server(s) back up. I'm transferring the Big Dig files to the main server rig, so I'll update this while that's copying. So, I've been pretty busy lately and I was out of town for a few days. Graduation/ finals/ grad parties/ lost a close friend, so it's been a little hectic. I'll have the Big Dig server back up first, and I'll sit down tonight and start adding setting up most of the plugins and permissions (since I was originally gonna do it 2 weeks ago).

I'll add you to the whitelist. You were probably able to get on before because I forgot to turn on the whitelist for the first day or two, although I THINK I copied it directly over from the Tekkit server's whitelist. I'll take a look and double check though, you should be able to get on within the next 15 minutes (I had to run out for a bit to pick someone up).

So since people have asked about it and talked about it, I figured we can start talking about what we'll be doing with the servers in the future. Right now, I can tell you I'm definitely gonna sit down and get everything set up permanently as far as permissions and plugins go on the Big Dig server, and it will definitely become a permanent addition. The big question is the other servers - Since most of the people I've talked to are enthusiastic about switching over to Big Dig, I am definitely considering the possibility of shutting down the Tekkit Classic server. If there is significant opposition to that idea, I can always swap it to the other rig that the Big Dig server is currently on. As far as the Volts server goes, I haven't been on enough lately to see how traffic is on it, but what it basically boils down to is this - the main server rig can easily support 2 of the servers with 1 dynmap, and the other rig can support at least one with dynmap. I'll have some free time the next 2 nights and probably a little during the day both days, so if you guys want to talk about it as a group over Skype at some point, we could do that. If not, feel free to give me your opinions either here on the forums or through Skype.

So I have to admit, I'm in love with Big Dig so far. I'll definitely see what I can do about adding it as one of the permanent servers, and it seems like a suitable replacement for Tekkit Classic (minus EE2, of course). The only thing missing is EE2, and in all honesty I'm more than willing to give that up. I understand that a lot of people like having the utility of EE2, but let's face it - if we hold onto it, we'll be frozen on 1.2.5 with those versions of the mods for the foreseeable future.

Just a quick FYI, the Voltz server has been upgraded to 1.1.4, so please change your launcher settings accordingly. Edit: After playing around a little, it looks like the Nuclear Boiler is now craftable, but it seems that the enrichment process is still incomplete. ALSO, I did set up a test server for the Big Dig pack, the IP is 96.235.36.55:25515.

I'm not sure anyone else noticed (I didn't until just now), but we just passed the six month mark since I first opened the server up to the public. I just want to take this opportunity to thank the OPs and Admins for their hard work, and the players in general for just being great people. It's amazing to look back and see that this is now one of the longest lasting active Tekkit servers out there, and I firmly believe that's because of how tight of a community we've managed to create. tl;dr - You guys are awesome :)

So since it needs to be spelled out again, new players should NOT be begging for items or accepting expensive items from other players, and experienced players should NOT be handing collectors and other expensive stuff out to new players. If this continues, I'll be forced to restrict EE items to experienced players. This is the LAST warning. In the future, bans will be going out without question.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been pretty busy trying to play catch up lately . My morning class isn't meeting tomorrow, so if I can manage to get myself up early still, I'll probably be able to sit down and take a look at everything then. Thanks for being patient guys, the past 2 weeks have been absolutely insane for me.
