Big Dig uses vanilla recipes for MPS: http://machinemuse.net/recipes.php So it's individual lapis pieces instead of blocks and iron instead of steel plates.

You'll have to decide for yourself if it's a replacement, but try out the MFR mining laser. Create a platform to reap infinite materials from the earth. Um, mekanism has a multitank like railcraft's, artifice has mineable basalt, and MFR has something called blackstone that can be created by squid ink and stone.

Not exactly- this problem happens when scala-library.jar is successfully downloaded by Forge but is prevented from being written to the hard drive by your anti-virus. Disable your anti-virus the first time you run BIg Dig and you should be good to go.

In the launcher, click on the cogwheel in the top right. Make sure you've got at least 2Gb allocated and check the checkbox. 3 or 4 Gb is better, if you can afford it.

The only platform-specific issue I can think of is behavior around case-different file names, which bit me a few times while putting together this pack. Try deleting all your NEI-related config files and tell me if that makes a difference.

Eh, compressor diamond production was always of dubious use- it takes a full stack of coal per diamond, and so you have to be supremely unlucky to end up in a situation where making a diamond in a compressor makes sense. If you're interested in making diamonds out of stuff, though, Equivalent Exchange 3 can do that. Regardless, though, this is Big Dig. You find diamonds 30 feet from spawn, in the side of a well-lit mountain. Diamonds are not a difficult find. Now if IC2 compressors could make EMERALDS, you might have my attention.

I mean, no proof was necessary after the Tekkit launch, honestly, but look, this guy's new and IC2 was the only mod he knew. Yes, that is it. Okay, two things: 1. Your game is failing to start up because Forge can't download its support libraries properly. I'd delete the .technic/bigdig folder and try again. If it still doesn't work, then it could be your anti-virus, or your firewall. And if it's not those, the download site might be having problems. These files getting downloaded correctly are on the Forge side, and out of our control. 2. Your java version is really old! Like, gaping security holes, dangerous to run old. You should update your java to 1.7_21.

That is not the file I told you to get. You may have been clued into that fact by the fact that it was in an entirely separate folder. This file was from the .technic/logs folder. I told you to get a file from the .technic/bigdig folder. .technic/bigdig/ForgeModLoader-Client-0 to be precise.

open the file .technic/bigdig/ForgeModLoader-Client-0 and copy its contents. Go to pastebin.com and paste them into the box and hit submit. Then link me to the page it sends you to.

Your .technic folder will be in a different place depending on your operating system, but it tends to be inside your user files. On windows, it's C:\users\<your user>\appdata\roaming\.technic

You're starting your server wrong- start it by using one of the launch scrips, or by starting it with BigDig.jar, not minecraft_server.jar.

Can you check the MPS configs on your server vs. your client to make sure that the ID's match up? No, only people who got the server in like the first 5 minutes it was uploaded ended up with NEI plugins in their mods list.
