  1. Hey, everyone, I've just promoted Big Dig 1.3.10 to Latest. There are a ton of key mod updates, along with the addition of a new mod: Simple Power Storage, by Technic's sct! SPS adds a "Makeshift Energy Cell" which can be used as an early-game alternative to the Redstone Energy Cell! If you're interested in helping test, back up your worlds (SSP or server) and set your launcher up to use the "Latest" build, or manually select version 1.3.10. Play with us and report issues in this thread! This is a clean slate, so even if you've already reported an issue elsewhere, if it's present in 1.3.10, be sure to report it in this thread. The 1.3.10 server can be downloaded here: http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bigdig/BigDigServer-v1.3.10.zip
  2. Er, your setup is weird, there shouldn't be an extra layer of water above the reactor. Also for maximum energy, the power-generating area should be about 5x5, with an extra ring of water around the outside to make sure that the water doesn't get stuck. I'd check out the auto-builder block in creative mode- it has modes to build all of atomic science's multiblock structures.
  3. Naw, the nasa workbench should be good to go anywhere, it's just kinda large and needs a lot of room to place.
  4. Hi what's up, it looks like either you're not posting the whole log, it's getting cut off, or you need to fix your memory situation. If it's the last one, click the cogwheel in the upper right corner of the launcher, make sure your allocation is at least 2Gb and CHECK THE CHECKBOX.
  5. I spoke with micdoodle about this, and he was having difficulty making this happen, are there any special details that might be contributing you can provide so he can get this fixed?
  6. Haha, okay, sorry.
  7. The exception up top is one I recognized from Tekkit as an issue that could be fixed by upgrading to java 1.7.0_21. Obviously, this isn't an option for Mac users. I spoke with Olloth about this tonight, and he said it was due to Galacticraft using some java 1.7 language features. We then brought this to micdoodle (who's finally back from a couple weeks away) and he said he'll change his build environment to be based around java 6 so this problem should be going away soon. By the way, if you're wondering on the status of Big Dig 1.3.10, we've got a list of upgrades and fixes we'll be making (and a new mod, made by sct of the Technic Team!) but when micdoodle came back, I decided to give him a few days to get a chance to catch up and address some of the galacticraft issues. With any luck, we'll have a beta in the works this weekend that fixes Big Dig's most pressing problems! Thanks for sticking around, I've got a feeling that it's gonna be a fantastic week next week.
  8. Or you could just play the game in full screen like calvariae said?
  9. Don't bump it up further, check the box.
  10. Here we go: 2013-05-30 23:07:53 [iNFO] [sTDERR] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space 2013-05-30 23:07:54 [iNFO] [Minecraft-Server] Stopping server 2013-05-30 23:07:54 [iNFO] [Minecraft-Server] Saving players 2013-05-30 23:07:55 [iNFO] [sTDERR] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space In the technic launcher, click the cogwheel in the upper right hand corner, and check the box for "increased permgen space". While you're there, you'll probably want to increase your memory allocation to at least 2Gb, 3 Gb can be nice if you can spare it, but you probably won't benefit from any more than that.
  11. That was the same thing you pasted last time- like I said, it's not enough to go on. Please find a way to get me the whole thing.
  12. This really isn't enough to go on. Try pastie.org or privatepaste.com, or host the file on mediafire, or something.
  13. The forge log is located in .technic\bigdig, it is the file ForgeModLoader-Client-0. Copy its contents, go to pastebin.com, paste the contents there, hit submit, link me.
  14. FUCK TEKKIT SONNNNN
  15. Well, then go ahead and pull a server log (ForgeModLoader-Server-0.log) after a session when you attempted to /give yourself a redwood sapling, and pastebin it here.
  16. Voltz was set up the same way, how did you manage that one? EDIT: Regardless, I'm not going to troubleshoot your server hosting software. You're starting the server using minecraft_server.jar, when you need to be starting it with BigDig.jar.
  17. I don't really know anything about multicraft so I can't answer that question. What are the choices?
  18. You should check the change log- IC2 was removed, along with a number of other mods.
  19. Sounds like you're starting up your server wrong- you need to use the launch scripts, or start it using BigDig.jar, not minecraft_server.jar
  20. Dreamblitz: to help you I need a forge log.
  21. 1Gb allocation is not enough for Big Dig, though. You might be able to squeak by with 1.5Gb in some circumstances, but 2 is what we consider the minimum.
  22. Are you playing in single player or on a server? Is the server yours or someone else's?
  23. Oh, god, don't increase it up to 8Gb. :-P 4Gb AT THE MOST. 2 is sufficient for most users, and the important thing is that checkbox.
  24. You're running out of permgen space, as the error message says. Click the cogwheel in the upper right hand corner of the launcher and check the box for "increased permgen space" or whatever. While you're there, make sure you've got at least 2Gb to work with too, because that can be good.
  25. You are an unlucky guy! Try again.
