JUST as I suspected! Galacticraft has a lot of performance issues running older versions of java and you need to upgrade your server to java 1.7_21- you're currently running on 1.7_13. I'm not saying that will solve all your problems! But we need to address that before we can do serious performance testing.

Here's the thing to do, what we found out last night: if you upgrade and you still have this issue, then your anti-virus is probably preventing the file .technic/tekkitmain/lib/scala-library.jar from being downloaded. Disable your antivirus temporarily and start tekkit and that will fix the issue.

It depends on what the errors are. I know there's like one mod in the pack that will throw out severe errors announcing which recipe options have been disabled, and galacticraft throws out a couple meaningless ones.

There's one last thing that we discovered while you were doing this- a lot of times people who are having this trouble, their computer can't download .technic/tekkitmain/lib/scala-library.jar So if you still have problems, check if that file is there. If that file's not there, then temporarily disable your anti-virus and try to start minecraft like that. Hopefully that will let minecraft download that jar file and everything will be ok after that.

It'll let you have both, and even if it doesn't, 32 bit java is no good anyway.

yeah, update 17 is old, update 21 is new. I would install the 64 bit version of update 21 and uninstall all the update 17's.
