Playing around with it, excavate got a major upgrade. Turtle with a silver chest behind it, set to excavate 16. It finished it's first huge area then dropped off at the chest and resumed it's work exactly where it left off. Kinda makes my quarry programming skills outdated... Requiring fuel is set to true by default, but that's a quick mod_ccturtle.cfg change.

Treeassist is a good tree feller, replanting saplings means more trees for later players. Mcmmo is a fun expansion to normal mining. iConomy, jobs, and chest shop give players an economy to play with.

Probably a typo. He's obviously refering to "password steam", the vapor given off when the launcher steals your password and destroys it by tossing it into your firewall. Passwords are a type of fluid you know, and the vapor is highly toxic so it's understandable to be afraid of deadly password steam.

XP and 98 both became completely different after major patches, enough that I consider them completely new versions. Though following the pattern, Win8 will be pure crap at launch then MS will roll out some major patches that fix it into a completely different, decent OS.

That's the idea lothos. Sengir's previous history with technic has shown complete hatred for technic, selective memory, and a very loose grasp of concepts like legality. I would not put it past him believing he can use copyright law to claim ownership of buildcraft and all derived works, including technic.

Waiting for him to announce "Forestry is getting merged into buildcraft. And since forestry is mine and NOT open-source, buildcraft is now NOT open source as well. This retroactively includes all previous versions. Haven't tried a plugin myself, but inventories are stored as itemstack arrays as part of the tileentity used by the block. How exactly they name that array depends on the mod. IC2 has all it's machines based off TileentityMachine.class which defines it as "inventory", while the vanilla chest uses "chestContents", furnace is "furnaceItemStacks", and so on... There's probably a way to find every itemstack array attached to a tileentity derived class using reflection, but I's still new to java.

Turtles have no vision, so it can't seek out people. It just has to randomly check to see if it's bumped into something it can kill. And you can easily turn them off (right click, hold ctrl-r) or break them to stop them.
