... The launcher launches minecraft, that's all there is to it. It connects to the mojang servers, logs you you, and downloads a fresh copy of vanilla minecraft. If you have a different skin in vanilla then you do in technic then you tried to alter your technic install and failed.

No, technic != tech only mods. Technic is about taking the best mods and making them play nice while making the installation as easy as possible. Thaumcraft2 is magic, and completely awesome.

My IC2 addon loads after IC2 despite starting with F. I would assume that means the mod priorities member actually works. Mine is public String getPriorities(){ return "required-after:mod_IC2"; }

IC2 tools don't use a normal damage system, the code resets the damage value to a ratio of it's charge amount every time it uses or gains EU. Repairing them will do nothing at all. EE items have a somewhat similar system, where the damage level is a ratio of the tool's charge setting. Also a complete waste to repair them. Nice job on this, always helpful to have pre-made configs to make plugins compatible.

Understadable, the mineral veins config does look a bit unwieldy. I might try it myself, gen some worlds in vanilla + ex biomes and test moving them to a tekkit server to respawn all the minerals with. The one problem I can see is getting it to pre-gen a large enough area for a server to use.

Some yes, even if only to look fore something to complain to the mods about. The rest, they leave and this place stays just a little bit saner. By giving him the answer here instead of shoving him towards the bug sections, you're telling him and others who read this thread that "Yes, this is the section to ask any little question you have and you will get your answer." So you either stomp out the behavior as it comes, or you let it slide until any attempts to correct the behavior are met with "Well why not, this is where everyone else gets help with the launcher! You just hate me! No +1 diamonds for you!!1!1!!!!" I for one am glad that MC forums popularity shit is not tolerated here, and I will do what I can to help keep it that way.

There is a bukkit plugin I've been meaning to try, mineral veins, that lets you clear out all ores and regenerate them based on your own settings, and even add new blocks to generate. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mineral-veins/ It wouldn't work for RP2 rubber trees or oil fountains, but you might be able to generate a map in vanilla + extreme biomes them move it over to a tekkit server and regenerate the ores to include the new stuff (might be able to include oil deposits as in pockets of oil underground, just no surface spout to show where they are).

Lets see, I can get em riled up so they either read the damn Rules and make an effort, or take off and not clutter the forums anymore. Or I can follow your example and encourage people to stay clueless self-important whiners.
