  1. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 25 - Location: USA, IL - Are you banned on any other servers: No. - Why do you want to join: I've been spending the last year playing single player, testing mods and tweaking my modpacks, and I feel it's about time I join the multiplayer scene. I'm most eager to share the knowledge of the inner workings of the mods I've tested with others. I haven't played multiplayer since 1.2.5 days, so this will be quite refreshing. - Tell me a little about your Minecraft experience: I've been playing Minecraft since 1.2.5, and have been playing with mods for the vast majority of the time. There are only two mods I can say I have little-to-no experience with: forestry's bees and computercraft. To the former, I've gotten to imperial bees, but never had the patience to get to industrious as well. - What's your favorite thing to do in Minecraft: For the most part, I love testing mod potentials, seeing how crazy I can get with the automation of, well, anything. However, what I enjoy even more is when people get together to build some crazy, massive project.
  2. So, you're throwin out ideas on how to balance EE, eh? ok, I've got one for ya, it's easy, three words... Leave.It.Alone. -All the creater needs to do is take away collectors, relays and condensors and there, no more virtually effortless free item creation. -Concerning blaze rod and bone meal emc generation, shouldn't that issue be taken up with IC2 / Thermal Expansion, considering if you tweak the emc values of the previously mentioned item's powders then it will no longer be an...Equivalent Exchange? -Finally, how many servers are out there that looked at EE and gave it a giant nerf bat concerning Condensor / Trans. Tablet usage and emc value changes via plug-ins, or straight up ban the mod? A clue; quiiiiiiite alot of them. And here...we...go...
  3. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Location: USA, IL - Minecraft experience to date: I have played standard minecraft for several months and tekkit for at least a few, I have experimented with the vast majority of what tekkit has to offer with the exception of redpower frames, and have begun to dabble into computercraft, though I'm no expert in the latter. - Why do you want to play on our server: Most of the servers I have played on have either a non-existent player base, a very constricting banned list, or both: I am hopeful that this server will be the exception, and therefore allow myself and others the breathing room to build whatever cool and complex structures / factories that come to mind.
  4. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Have you ever been kicked / banned from a server?: No. - Why do you like tekkit?: It adds a level of complexity and depth that allows me to make more advanced structures, as opposed to a cow farm. - What can you bring to the community?: I have experimented with the vast majority of what tekkit has to offer, and have even dabbled a lil bit into computercraft: I can provide my knowledge of tried and tested builds to others and I love to work with others in building complex places and factories.
  5. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Do you have skype?: Yes, but I won't share my username here on the forums - Age?: 24 - Country / Timezone: USA / Central - What do you like most about tekkit?: the several hundred additional items provides a complexity that keeps me busy and entertained. - Have you been on other servers? If so, why did you leave: I have been on other servers, and the reasons I left are either there ended up being a heavier restriction list than that which was on the forum posts or the GM's would either barely be on without advanced warning or were usually incompitent with tasks that are part of the bread-and-butter server managing skills-set. - What are you good at?: Understanding the mechanics of how things work with tekkit blocks, with the exception of redpower frames: I've never dabbled with them before, mostly cause they're always banned. - What kind of things do you make?: I usually like to make factories that produce somewhat useless items, like ice and snow blocks; that's not to say I can't make a factory that produces somethin useful. - How long have you been playing minecraft?: Don't know for sure to be honest, I joined about halfway through 1.2.5's life cycle. - How often will you be online: A few hours at least. - Why do you want to join this particular server: It seems, on the surface at least, a server that will provide myself and others the opportunity to build complex and interesting structures without many restrictions, and your computer specs give me hope that it won't have the stability of...well, 'place something that is unstable here'.
  6. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - How often will you be able to play: The only restriction to my playtime is one college class I go to on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I would say I am able to contribute at least 4-5 hours. - For experienced players, the build you are most proud of: I have two that I am rather proud of, if that is ok: The first is a 4, 24 block breaker cobblestone generator set-up, pumping cobblestone into 4 fully overclocked recyclers producing scrap boxes, which would then be sucked up into a magtube system to be sorted by a redpower sorter; it is capable of producin about a stack and a half of diamonds, in about 10 minutes, from just the condenced garbage, not including the non-condencing items and the ores / powders / fuels that are also created. The second build is a completely safe, self sustaining combustion engine build that, when not making it's own fuel and oil, is capable of producing 330 EU/T, and that can easily be increased if the power need is there. - Why do you think Verve is the server for you: I have to confess, I am rather new to the Minecraft multiplayer universe, and although I have only been on a handful of servers it has come to my attention that several of them have incredibly heavy restrictions and bans on items that do not deserve such banning, and not just in my mind, but to the other players on the server: This was quite detrimental for several build ideas that other players and myself had in mind, such as a replica of the yogcast jaffa cake factory, where on that server the automated crafting tables and condensors are banned. In any case, by the looks of things, this server will allow myself and others the flexibility to build truly incredible structures, factories and castles, as a group or by ourselves, and that's what tekkit, heck minecraft, is all about.
  7. Thank you for inviting me to your server, I am anxious to get mining ^^ Just one tiny problem...what is the IP address?
  8. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Country: USA - Reason or Reasons for wanting to join: I'm lookin for a server that doesn't have unneccessary bans / restrictions that will allow me to have / share a richer experience with myself and others. - Your Tekkit experience: I have experimented with the vast majority of what tekkit has to offer with the exceptions of redpower frames, computercraft and sensors. - Do you have a mic?: Yes -Are you willing to use Teamspeak or Vent: I am willing to use either, I have both already installed. - What other games do you play?: Just minecraft. - Marmite: love it or hate it?: I'm not much of a spreads kinda person, but according to the wiki one of it's indredients is yeast and it's usually very salty, so I'd have to say hate it, I'll have to try it out sometime if I can find some. - Random fact about yourself?: I plan on starting a web series under the production company name of 'Talking Goat Head Productions' (My character's skin is a goat). - How many roads must a man walk down? As many as it takes to reach his endgame goals. - Would you rather fight a duck the size of a horse or 100 horses the size of ducks? Considering in most scenarios that one-on-one fights are usually easier than small armies I'd have to go with the large duck.
  9. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Country / Timezone: USA Central - Reason for joining: I want to play on a server that doesn't have half of the game banned / restricted and will allow me to, therefore, build better / more efficient devices to help people out with. - Tekkit Experience: I've tested / built almost all that tekkit has to offer with the exception of computercraft, redpower frames and sensors - Have you read the rules: Yes. - How long have you played tekkit: over 3 months - What you feel you can contribute: the aformentioned over 3 months of experience of tried and tested devices and EU/T knowledge, along with the willingness to help newbies of tekkit. - Time you can contribute: at least 4-5 hours, depending on the day, I have a college class on tuesdays and thursdays.
  10. - IGN: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Skype(optional): I don't have skype but more than willing to get / set it up if accepted. - Tekkit experience: 8-9, I've done pretty much everything except computercraft, redpower frames and sensors. - Time zone: US Central - How much time do you you plan on playing per day: It all depends, I am currently on another server where I have to manage a tram system, but it's very light maintinence, aside from that and one class on tuesdays and thursdays I could devote several hours, 5 at the minimum. - Build you are most proud of: I have two builds if that's ok: a 4 fully overclocked recycler scrap box factory that also redpower sorts the items, and a virtually automated / safe fuel combustion engine power set-up that produces around 330 EU/T. - Why do you think this server is right for you: I'm looking for a server where I will be able to build without a ton of restrictions, and therefore be able to enjoy / share a much fuller tekkit experience.
  11. - Minecraft Username: Emitt54321 - Age: 24 - Have you ever been banned: No. - What do you plan to do on this server: After building up supplies I'd love to help people with their projects ^^ This is Multiplayer after all, what's the point of playin alone? - What is your previous experience with tekkit: I've played tekkit for at least a few months, and done pretty much everything except redpower frames, computercraft and sensors.
  12. Application: Age: 25 IGN: Emitt54321 Minecraft/Tekkit Experience: I've played Minecraft for over a year and Tekkit for several months. I've tried and tested a vast majority of what Tekkit has to offer with the exceptions of bluetricity frames, computercraft and sensors. Extra Information: I am glad to see that you guys are new to Tekkit, cause I am one of those guys that loves to do the research into the math and mechanics of games, and Tekkit blocks are no exception: I would love to share with you the knowledge of my experimentation and I hope to build with you soon ^^ Unfortunately, I would like to add that if I was accepted, it would be my first step into the Minecraft multiplayer universe, and as such I am completely clueless as to what all the plug-in commands are, how to do teleports, things of that nature.
  13. Application: 1 IGN - Emitt54321 2 Age - 25 3 Skype - I have never used skype before, more of a vent / teamspeak / mumble guy myself, but if it's free (yeah, I'm that clueless about it ) I'll use it. 4 Tekkit Experience - between 8-9, I've played tekkit for at least a few months, done everything but computercraft, bluetricity frames and sensors 5 Time Zome - USA, IL, CST 6 How much time do you plan on playing per day? At the moment I'm taking a college course in the afternoons on tues / thurs, but aside from that if I am accepted I would be on several hours, 5 at the bare-est minimum. 7 Build I am most proud of? I have two, if that's ok: first is a four, fully overclocked recycler facility that automates scrap boxes and sorts through a sorter in redpower, and the second is a completely safe, virtually automated buildcraft power plant with combustion engines that gets about 500 EU/T. 8 Why do you think our server is right for you? After cruising around on public servers I honestly thing what I need is a more, well, non-public approach: I want to work with / help a dedicated set of people and do all things tekkit related, and to share the knowledge of builds I've tried and tested or learn things that others have done, and above all, have fun doing it ^^
