precursordesign
Hey everyone! I'm having issues getting tekkit to work on my laptop. It is a gov't issued laptop for school/research purposes, but I have a lot of free time. Technic launcher is installed fine. Java 1.8 is on here. It is a Macbook, but is running windows OS. Here is what I get with internet off when I try and run Tekkit. ( Please submit this report to https://github.com/TechnicPack/TechnicLauncher/issues ) Launcher Build: 439 Selected Pack: null Stack Trace: Exception: RuntimeException Message: Library net.minecraft:launchwrapper:1.8 not found. Trace: net.technicpack.launchercore.launch.MinecraftLauncher.buildClassPath(MinecraftLauncher.java:178) net.technicpack.launchercore.launch.MinecraftLauncher.buildCommands(MinecraftLauncher.java:107) net.technicpack.launchercore.launch.MinecraftLauncher.launch(MinecraftLauncher.java:56) org.spoutcraft.launcher.InstallThread.run(InstallThread.java:74) System Information: Operating System: Windows 7 Operating System Version: 6.1 Operating System Architecture: amd64 Java version: 1.8.0_25 64 bit Total Memory: 123 MB Max Memory: 1801 MB Memory Free: 78 MB CPU Cores: 4 *end That's it! I can run some other mods on here, like the crafting dead. But Tekkit, which I've recently gotten back into, simply can't make it passed verifying launchwrapper-1.8.jar Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! *EDIT* sorry I just saw that I should have posted this on tracker. Edited November 24, 2014 by precursordesign
Curunir
Tekkit does not run on Java 8 at the moment due to a known bug. Please use the recommended version, which is the latest 64bit Java 7. Uninstall Java 8 manually first, reboot, then fetch this and install it. Alternatively, you could stay on Java 8 and just drop the unsupported hotfix in the mod folder. But unsupported means unsupported, so no guarantees. Next time, take your issue to the tracker, where it belongs.
