THX Helicopter for Tekkit

I have this mod THX Helicopter that I really want to add to my Tekkit client (and if it works, possibly even server). The problem here is, it crashes my tekkit as soon as it launches or gets into the main menu. Installing ModLoader for v1.6.x doesn't help. It MIGHT be the mod version to blame, v1.6.1. There's unfortunately no newer version, because the modder probably abandoned it.

I am looking for a way, ANY way of making it work with Tekkit. I really like the mod, and I want my friends to enjoy it too while building spaceports and making automatic apple farms.

Any (useful) help is greatly appreciated. (other forms of help is appreciated too)
