totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I have forestry mod, and since i have a bog farm, that produces peat, i need to feed it with Bog Earth, now, is there ANY way to get water from a pump, into a bucket, then further on into a automatic crafting table so it all goes automatic?
Torezu Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Deployer with buckets? That's the easiest way...though if you're using EE, condensing them is also pretty quick and painless.
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Can you give a breif tutorial please how to get it to work? I have never used Deployer and condensing before
Torezu Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Deployers are from RedPower (so you'll need tubes and timers to go with them), Condensers are from Equivalent Exchange (so you can use RedPower tubes or BuildCraft pipes). I don't do tutorials.
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Okayy... I dont get it, Should i make a timer that is slower than the engine pumping out buckets from the deployer? ill guess ill have to try a bit
littleweseth Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 ill guess ill have to try a bit Yes, we *do* expect you to do some of your own experimentation. Discovering things and designing your own machines is the Joy of Tekkit. Why would we deny you that? :)
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Okay ofc i get that, but since i play survival and not creative i have to think about the resources to :(
littleweseth Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 There's no shame in experimenting in a creative-mode playground. Personally I spend a lot more time in creative mode than in survival mode because I enjoy designing machinery much more than swinging a pickaxe at yet another stone block. All up to you, of course. :)
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 True that I like the challange that comes in survival mode, especially in SMP when u can play with friends and have a really good time, but ill experiment with the Timer and deployer :)
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Okay i have made the area for the deployer and stuff, now i wonder, how do i keep the redstone engine from speeding up? I know the speeds are blue, green and orange, but how do i prevent that?
stringburka Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Why would you want to? Redstone engines give one BC power unit per "wave" they go. The higher speed the more power. If you want low power, my suggestion would be to have two redstone engines, and a timer connected to a switch integrated circuit (don't remember exact name, but when it gets an input it switches between two outputs). If you set the timer to like a minute, each engine will be running for one minute, shut down, and the other will start. But redstone engines don't overheat or anything. Usually you want them as red as possible.
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Since i am a shitty noob at this, my figure was: I put the deployer, behind it i put wooden pipe, with a connected redstone engine running it, and a timer next to the deployer, and behind the wooden pipe i put one golden pipe to make it go fast, and behind that, i put a diamond pipe, sorting the failed buckets to go back to the deployer, and the not failing ones going further to the crafting table... Fuck this confuses me...
totte1015 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Here is pictures on how i thought it would work But the god damn automatic crafting table doesnt accept the water buckets!!!!!!! God damnit
stringburka Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 test letting it go through a chest first. You might also want to use pneumatic tubes instead of pipes, they work a lot easier, especially when combined with RP machines such as the deployer.
stringburka Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I think this is how you should do it: DT===CrF=|| ||===TC=== === and || is tube (D)eployer adjacent to water fills bucket, (T)ransposer picks bucket and sends through tubes to (Cr)afting table where the stuff is assembled, (F)ilter picks out empty bucket and sends through tubes to the bucket chest (you should have a few chests going). Transposer picks buckets from chests and put in deployer to refill it.
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Damnit, the redpower stuff is new for me... How do i power the Transposer? It doesnt work with redstone engine And by crafting table you mean the automatic one?
Korialstrasz Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 RP Machines are usually Powered by Redstone Ticks. Some of the advanched Machines also need Bluetricity. But the deplyoer,Transposer and Filter only need the Redstone Ticks. Also you should use the Autmatic Craftingtable mkII to work with the RP Tubes.
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Awww... I dont like learning a whole new concept... I got it all working so good with the BC pipes, lots of intersections and sorted it right... Couldnt find Redstone ticks on wiki, how do i craft it? Im experimenting... ill reply when i have more questions
Korialstrasz Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 With Redstone Tick i mean a single Pulse of Redstone Current (changing from off to on state) like the Timer or or Sequencer generates.
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Okay i think i got the most now, but the filter doesnt work, i try with redstone pulse, and full redstone, it doesnt react at all, i put a empty bucket inside the GUI to show it what it should filter...
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 I have even tried to replace it different directions... Still doesnt work..
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 I hate to do it but, im bumping. I really need help with this, tell me. How does the filter work? NOTHING HAPPENS!
warpspeed10 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The filter pulls from a chest. If there is no were for the item to go, the filter will hold on to it until there is space in an inventory down the line. Also, instead of getting mad, did you consider Googleing "Redpower 2 Wiki"? It is far more useful and not horrendously out of date like the Tekkit wiki.
totte1015 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 I have read their wiki but there is no picutures! Thats the problem, i dont get the language very well since my native language isnt english. However, here is how i thought it would work: Every time the timer pulse, the filter does an animation, but nothing more happens And yes, there is a EMPTY bucket in the craft table
Valkon Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Do you see the small hole on top of the filter? That's where the tubes need to be connected to. Otherwise it'll just spit buckets out of the top.
