What mods should I disable?

I just downloaded the Technic pack and it works great but as a noob, there are just too many mods than I know what to do with cluttering the world.

What mods should I disable to have my world like the world from the youtube videos?

Which youtube video? and what kind of game you want?

A lot of people disabled thaumcraft because the taint function, some people disabled mo'creatures. And that's about it, disable other mods would ruin the experince.

Then don't disable anything, the TEKKIT pack has everything the yogscast has.(except Crafting table 3)

Also make sure you are playing the tekkit pack, not technic.

(technic is for single player, tekkit is for both)

Don't play Tekkit singleplayer, though.

Things start breaking after a short while.

Is there a way to disable taint, but keep thaumcraft? Why, you probably won't ask? Because I want to use a world my friend made but he uses some thaumcraft stuff for decorative reasons. I don't want taint, or vis, or whatever the fuck thaumcraft does, but I want the blocks. Probably not possible.

I doubt search will help, it's impossible to play with thaumcraft without the vis/taint function and there's no way to disable it, all the blocks and items in thaumcraft are somehow related to them. Though it is possible to disable natural taint spawn in the config, note that taint will still occur if the taint level is high enough.

are you sure that those glitches are related to playing tekkit in single player?

I only use tekkit for single player and I have never had any of those issues.

You do that + increase the taint threshold if I recall right, making it all but disabled. Not sure if there is a combination that does literally stop it myself.
