Benji800
Hi This may make me sound like a noob, but has the electric engine been removed from tekkit or is it just a bug that i cant craft it and it is not showing up in the not enough items menu. Many thanks.
DanielJin
Since forestry has been removed, electric engines are gone with it. But I believe energy link from transfomers can do the work.

TheBard
Transformers mod also adds 4 different electrical engines. I believe it's currently in Technic but not Tekkit? http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5789

So how come Transformers isn't in Tekkit? Not bukkit compatible?
theprolo
What do you mean, transformers isn't in Tekkit? It still is. The electric engine was Forestry.

I mean on http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/ under mods, there is no transformers mod listed. Also transformers was introduced to replace forestry.. it said so on that page that you linked me. Tekkit != Technic
Wendo
The most likely reason is no one has ported it to SMP
theprolo
Sorry, should have mentioned that the page I linked you to was for Technic, the singleplayer version of Technic. I think at the time of Technic updating, the transformers mod Tekkit wasn't updated, or was buggy, or something. Tekkit still has a transformers mod, just a different one. Tekkit has the one with energy links, HV Generators, oil fabricators etc.
Omicron
You can install Transformers 1.3 yourself, it works perfectly fine. See here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/transformers-mod-electrical-engines.24092/#post-244888

theprolo
Fair enough, I just wanted to link you to the post about why it was removed, and wasn't really thinking about what it was replaced by. Like Omicron says, Transformers can be installed manually, and the Power Converters can be installed into Technic. They're both compatible, so no problems.
