andrewdonshik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Just tested, Flowing oil + Lava source = Obsidian Flowing Lava + Flowing Oil = Cobblestone Ok, that's pretty messed up. Shouldn't the oil catch on fire? Also, what happens if you're on fire and you step in oil? Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Not tested but I would assume it puts you out. Quote
andrewdonshik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Not tested but I would assume it puts you out. That was lazy on spacetoad's part. Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 That was lazy on spacetoad's part. Well it was only meant to be used as oil so why jump through hoops when the code is already there? Quote
andrewdonshik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Well it was only meant to be used as oil so why jump through hoops when the code is already there? He still should of commented the code that makes the liquid either produce stone or put you out: Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 He still should of commented the code that makes the liquid either produce stone or put you out: It might not be that simple, I haven't seen the code but from what I have heard, Minecraft's is pretty dodgy in some places. Quote
andrewdonshik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 It might not be that simple, I haven't seen the code but from what I have heard, Minecraft's is pretty dodgy in some places. Well, seeing as jakj figured out how to change it easily, it couldn't be THAT hard.. No offense. Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Well, seeing as jakj figured out how to change it easily, it couldn't be THAT hard.. No offense. jakj is very talent but I thought what he did was change the infinite water pool code. Quote
andrewdonshik Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 jakj is very talent but I thought what he did was change the infinite water pool code. Nope, he changed the lava (liquid) code to allow flowing. Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Nope, he changed the lava (liquid) code to allow flowing. Ahh of course. I forgot about that one. Quote
Silent Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 If you removed the cobblestone generation from oil, then what would happen when they colided? Just stood there next to each other? Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 If you removed the cobblestone generation from oil, then what would happen when they colided? Just stood there next to each other? Good question. I would assume they would stay still. Quote
freakachu Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 the same thing that happens when water and oil collide? Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 the same thing that happens when water and oil collide? Likely. What happens when they collide? I've never tested that. (I have seen Oil and Water mixed in the ocean but never flowing against each other. Quote
freakachu Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Likely. What happens when they collide? I've never tested that. (I have seen Oil and Water mixed in the ocean but never flowing against each other. the world comes to an end. seriously though I've never tried it like that either. Quote
Silent Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Ill make sure to give it a try when I'm on mars, in that case only mars will come to an end Quote

Jorcer Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Interesting bit with the solar panels and covers. That caught my eye as well. It could come in handy for hiding solar farms... Quote
