Modpacks won't launch

When i launch any modpack, it closes the launcher, then the screen is blank before it reopens the launcher. I have windows 10 and it worked before updating. I run compatibility, as admin. reinstall technic, reinstall java, and have reinstalled all graphics card drivers, upped the ram in the launcher to 2.5/3 gbs, java parameters, disabled stencil buffer. Any help or an update to the launcher would be nice. BTW there are no crash reports. my PC specs are not too good, but like i said it worked before windows 10, here are my pc specs.

4gbs of ram

DX 11.1

I reinstalled java. Didn't work. Then I thought well I never updated java before I updated to windows 10. Maybe it updated it to java 8? SO i searched for java 7. Installed it and it worked. So for anyone with the same problem just install java 7 from oracle archive, and MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE TECHNIC LAUNCHER SETTINGS TO USE JAVA 7. It won't work unless you make it use java 7.
