Tekkit, low FPS

Hello all,

I'm experiencing FPS problems when using tekkit via the technic launcher.  When I run the pack, the frame rate drops to around 1 fps when just in the splash screen and continues on into the game when I load a map.  The frame rate issue stop when I pause the game but resumes when I unpause.  This fault does not occur when using the vanilla minecraft in the technic launcher and occurs on every listed tekkit version.  I have 8GB of RAM available with 4GB currently assigned in the launcher.  Altering the amount of available RAM has no effect.  This used to work before so I don't understand why it's not now.  I am running Windows 10, Java 1.8 Update 73, Intel Core I7-5500U 2.4GHz with turbo boost to 3GHz, Intel HD Graphics 5500 up to 3839MB Dynamic Video Memory and as before mentioned, 8GB of available RAM.

Try updating your Intel HD graphics card drivers over at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ (use the automatic update button)

If it doesn't work, downgrade to java 7u80.

Hi,

Thanks for your recommendation.  I did both but I think I was suffering with the Windows 10 Graphics Driver issue affecting Nvidia, AMD and some Intel cards.  Ended up installing a driver I downloaded using an program called 'Driver Talent'. Scans your pc for any out of date drivers (device manager was saying they were all up to date yet they weren't) then allows you to download a 7-zip file which you extract and install manually via the 'have disk' option on driver installation.  After all that, it works!!!  Thanks for your help.
