Luke Hatter Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Dear Modder's, If Mojang gave you permission to use there game to remake Minecraft on the Xbox 360 console, but with the mods of Tekkit I think it will be a great success. I know there already is and Minecraft Xbox edition, remarked by 4jstudios. So this tells us that this could be done. Even if it's just an add on pack that gets developed by you and 4jstudios it still would be great. I hope you would of noticed this thread in interest, and put it under great consideration. Thank You, Luke Hatter Quote
The_DarthMoogle Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EDIT: HA Quote
Markarthian Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'd dare add another HA Also don't sign your posts Quote
Chefsbrian Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's about how I felt there. Simply put, that's not even a remote possibility. Aside from completely rewriting every single mod in this pack for the Xbox, your console simply wouldn't have enough power to handle running all the Tekkit mods. Then there's also the Problematic bit where the Tekkit team would need to aquire complete rights to the original minecraft on Xbox, so that they could distribute it with Tekkit. Unfortunately, Modded minecraft on the Xbox simply isn't likely to happen within this console generation. Quote
Melfice Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Basically, it'd be "easier" to create a completely new Minecraft-clone with all the Tekkit features built in than go through the hassle that Chefsbrian described. And easier is in parentheses because it'd be a hell of a job. Quote
lukeb28 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Maybe on the next gen xbox. I have seen a few web pages on the possibility of stripped down mods being available in the future. It would be great if this were true but It probably won't happen. keep wishing Luke. Quote
Michael101 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Don't forget the $30k for micro$oft's xbox certification process... Quote
Chefsbrian Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Don't forget extra costs for deploying patches and updated content. Xbox isn't that indie friendly XD. Quote
Teraku Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 This has been discussed before, and no. This isn't going to happen. Quote
lukeb28 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 This has been discussed before, and no. This isn't going to happen. Thats a good way to sum it up yes. Unless technic becomes more popular than HALO and COD combined its not happening, and even then... Quote
Kocken926 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Then the Tekkit crew would need to charge for tekkit. I'm sure no-one would complain about that! Quote
lukeb28 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Then the Tekkit crew would need to charge for tekkit. I'm sure no-one would complain about that! ya. So when you get down to it, if you want tekkit for xbox and it somehow does happen, its no longer a free mod and pretty much becomes its own game. People loved the evolution of minecract for xbox (I have it myself and love it) but It would be harder for the tekkit team to make the game than it was for Mojang. Quote
