It just creates another network adapter you can use to connect. So I guess by your logic, connecting to my phone using Bluetooth is also tricking my PC into thinking my phone is really a Switch? Interesting. well, not quite, it is a Direct Tunneling VPN service. essentially just a super easy way to make a VPN without a lot of hassle.
